Half-Life Combine Synth: Guardian
Half Life combine synth
About this creation
Tan and Bionicle. Both are examples of pieces you probably have, but don't use. Well, my friend, I may have found a solution. Combine Synths. What's a Combine synth you say? Oh, you poor, poor soul. A Synth is a cybernetically ehanced alien organism that is used as an infantry support vehicle(although they never carry passengers inside them) for the alien empire known as the Combine(said like the farming machine). The combine is the main enemy in the critically acclaimed videogame Half-Life 2. If you have never played this game, go out and buy it now. I don't care who you are, just buy it and play it. Some examples you may know from the game are the combine dropship, the combine gunship, and the more widely recognized Strider. These synths utilize pulse turrets and singularity cannons for the most part. I think you may have some fun building in this theme; go ahead and give it a try.

I like this pic.

Hot pulse turret action!

Tail: For me, this throwbot chainsaw-looking thing was the icing on the cake.

This shot showcases the two pulse turrets and the single singularity cannon. I like how these turned out, took me a while to realize that I should never use premade guns. these used to all be those black exoforce guns(from the gigantic gatling guns). I'm glad I decided to brick-build these.

I used various droid parts to make crustacean-like limbs on the underside.

I think these bionicle ball joints are the best choice for the pulse turrets.

Engines: these constantly shift to correct flight and maintain hovering.

These tan car hoods make excellent carapace sections.

The nose is actually a Jar Jar head. This is the only beneficial aspect of Jar Jar I have yet found.

Combine Guardians are difficult to take down via RPG; dual pulse turrets make hitting them tough. Additionally, the main body is semi-covered in armor/useless bionicle parts. (Thanks again to Kleenex box, who is standing for something I could have wasted like 30 seconds on)

Gordon with RPG and crowbar, constructed from the finest of broken minifig axes. Melee sergeant(I think that's what it's called), and CP(civil protection)

Poorly lit shot of more underside greebs.

I personally love this theme and I had a great time building it. If you would like to build some combine synths of your own, just remember to use tan, apply lots of greebles to the underside, and throw in a few limbs with engines embedded.

Please leave a review and I will visit your page. Thanks for looking!

Good use of the parts! If this was in half-life, i would definatly die when i met one in-game. This could perfectly team up with my synth, the scout! Take a look at my page, and you will see how the scout looks like. anyways, good job!
