LIU Tower of Remembrance
Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy, forget in time, that men have died to win them. ---=FDR
About this creation
LIU Tower of Remembrance

The Ludgonian Industrial Union is proud to present the Tower of Remembrance, a monument in the northern waters of the Last Sea. This tourist attraction brings several million visitors a year.

The tower honors the billions of soldiers that have died for the LIU.

It honors the fact that the soldiers died, so their brethren could live on in peace and harmony.

It also stands as a reminder, that the success of the LIU was directly tied to the billions that sacrificed their lives.

The top of the tower holds a faceless soldier that represents all that have fallen.

The tower slowly turns in a clock-wise fashion (one revolution per day), so the faceless soldier can see the empire it helped to build.

The base of the monument sits on a rocky island that was exposed when the Last Sea's levels fell.

Note: “The industrial way of life leads to the industrial way of death...the great specialty of industry and technology has been the mass production of human corpses.” -Edward Abbey

I'd better not say what the tower reminds ME of...Let's just keep our minds out of the gutter, and talk about the fascinating change of tone with this MOC. Always love your witty commentary, but it's cool to get a change every now and again...and after all of the LIU's other topics, this comes as a real surprise. Well played!

I thought this tower would signify all-so-important money rather than the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for the LIU. Finally something practical! As for the tower design I dont know why but it looks Indian to me somehow? Could this be the future of LIU design, maybe its just the dome that looks it? Either way cool MOC!

It's nice to see such a practical monument being built. Excellent construction and snot aside, the LIU has just proved it benevolence.

As soon as I saw the top half of this, I thought 'definetly LIU.' Great job Emperor! Reminds me a bit of the Lincoln Memorial. Good day

I'm guessing that this guy is a potential terrorist target by anti-LIU groups?

Besides that Phipson, he could put "BUY LIU" signs on it and around it. Tourists = profits

Ahhh, the almighty tourist dollar (LIU credit, whatever) Nothing more profitable than spending a few hundred thousand to make a monument and then making it back in four days due to outrages entrance fees... Kinda like Disney when you think about it. Be sure to charge extra for people who want to "cliff dive" off it! (into the toxic water that's only 3 1/2 feet deep...) Nice one Your Highhness. ~ Chris.

The new kinder, gentler LIU? I would have expected any Ludgonian monument to be to the Almighty Dollar, or whatever your unit of currency is. Nice job, always keep us guessing.

there could be profit if they sold the tower, kojman, buuutttt,if thy did,it would justify our cause against the LIU.

Well, the LIU finally decided that it was worth the money to build a memorial. Even there's no profit involved. Unless they sell the tower. ;)
