"Veritas MVIII" Ice Planet interceptor
Ice Planet spaceship
About this creation
The Veritas MVIII is a fast, powerful, and studless fighter for the Ice Planet team. The name is thanks to XanTheFisherman, who originally suggested it for my FOCB. I told him via E-mail that I would use the name for something else. Ice Planet colors are white, blue, and old trans-orange. Unlike the Veritas MVIII, the official Ice Planet sets also have a lot of black pieces in them, which I only just noticed. By the way, I finally got some white posterboard for the background, so Iím one step closer to not being a bad photographer! Unfortunately, the pictures still seem too dark and shadowy to me. It was probably a bad idea to use it with a mostly white MOC. I sent the pictures to my aunt who is good with Photoshop, so I intend to update this page once she gets back to me with the brighter pictures. Some of the pictures (i.e. the pilot, cockpit, and last two construction shots) have been enhanced with Photoshop.

A basic Ice Planet minifig with a different face is the pilot.

The Veritas MVIII is armed with two rotating quad-cannons and a pair of missile launchers.

Here is a construction shot for you. If you look really closely at the upper right corner, you can see the edge of the posterboard. Iím pointing this out to you in case you thought I didnít notice.

Another construction shot.

I love everything about this MOC. It's minifig scale, great overall shape, great interior, creative construction techniques (thanks for the construction shots), good interior and authentic color scheme. 5/5

Love ice planet stuff. The four winged design is very cool! While I haven't built any space ships yet, I love the idea because they don't necessarily have to be aerodynamic.

The ultimate proof that a cockpit doesn't require a pointed shape in order for its ship to look fast :-)

Axxen Fett: Is Picasa available for Mac OS X? There's probably lots of free image enhancing software on the internet somewhere, but to be honest, I never really spent a lot of time looking for it. That's something I plan to do soon. Thanks for your suggestion.

#1: Awesome job on this sleek, icicley.... (ship?) #2 GET PICASA! google search picasa, download it for free and then you can use the highlight and fill light features to brighten your moc. Don't believe me? Check out my mocs or Joris Bloks' creations, we both use it.

Hey, check this out, everybody! I'm commenting on my own MOC! Hmmm, I think I'll give it five smilies. This is a response to Crow (anonymus): That's right, it is a coincidence. To be honest, it was inspired by peterlmorris: http://www .brickshelf.com /cgi-bin/ gallery.cgi?i =2476546 Sorry I had to put a bunch of spaces in the URL, but it was telling me not to write "long, unbroken strings of characters".

Love the construction techniques around the rear section. There's not really enough blue/orange (some more blue in the wings would be nice), but it's still quite clear that this is an Ice Planet vehicle. Great job!

"Resurection of the Ice Planet" ! Good idea ! The ship is one of your best, lot of good ideas, but the overall design stay clean, simple, in a good way. The guns and wings are very creative and well done. Only complaint : where's the Ice Planet Babe ? Just kidding - it's a great work !

Hmm, yes, this is quite nice. It's especially nice to see someone building in the iceplanet theme instead of blacktron or the others.

I love the orientation you build into this MOC. I also love Ice Planet! You captured the essence of Ice Planet perfectly! Great work Nate.
