My northrop p 61 black widow. I was looking through one of my old aircraft encyclopedias in '07 for a model that could use that plastic tire as an engine cowling and found the black widow. At first I didn't think I could pull a plane of this size off, but I think it came out alright. Unfortunatly there isn't enough room for any mini figs or even a chair above the front landing gear. I wont bore you with many details on the plane, it was the first purpose-built night fighter the us produced in WWII, if you want more go to WIKI. Please let me know what you think!
I really like your "Black Widow". At first glance, it looked a little hunched, but when I saw the pic of the real plane, I was corrected. The retractable landing gear is thumbs up, too.
Hi Patrick this is pretty good but the fuselage seems too big and i dont really like the canopy but i think the tails are really cool...awsome work on a plane that is very hard too build------David
