This a bit out of focus, but it shows some of the Christmas lights I installed in the engines. All together there is 144 red lights. These lights are 'chasers', meaning they turn off and on in a rotating pattern, and the speed can be varied, which looks pretty cool. Also note the gears under the engine pods. They make it so if you turn one, the other turns with it. The center four engines (not shown) are mounted on shock absorbers in such a way that they can tilt up or down, then self center themselves.

One of the 7 main fighters. This is the king, while the rooks hang from the sides, and the knights sit on the engine pods.

Yep, that's me. The front foot of the ship can separate as smaller ship, like a torpedo boat. If you look at the area where the ship's colors turn from blue to black, that's where the engines separate. This makes it so it can be packed away for transport. Here I'm using the control switches to adjust the angle of the ship on it's pedestal. You really get a feel for the width of the engines. To see my computer generated artwork, go to http://www.angelfire.com/il2/zvr/

Certainly massive! How much of a interior does it have? and how much space do all the lights and electric stuff take up? |

Here's what I would say. "Wow... that's big... like, Kelso big... Fantastic!" BUT, you already know that now don't you? Now I'll grant you that it IS big, but is fantastic? Well, I think... YES! Absolutely! It's not just fantastic, it's fantastical! Keep on building ~ Nowhereman |

Does size matter? I think I saw this or one of your other ships at Windycon (Chicago SF convention) several years ago; it was the largest Lego creation I had ever seen up to that time. |
