About this creation
The Imperial Technology board, at the request of the Emperor, commissions many works from artisans within the Empire. When a new material showed promise for being bullet-proof, laser-dampening, armor designers were hired to create a full suit of this durable composite.
It was very soon after the planning had begun that the Emperor began to fear a lack of heavy weaponry in his armies would create vulnerabilities in the Imperial lands, vulnerabilities that could be exploited by enemies.
Thus, when Imperial spies brought back information of enemy soldiers encased in enormous armor, sometimes twice or thrice the height of a man, he knew he had an opportunity to patch up his army's weak spots.
The Excalibur is the first result of his idea. This is still not even the First official version.
There are plans to outfit the current Scholae Palatinae (Palace Guard) in these when they finally roll of the assembly line. Extras will be made and attached to Legions in squads of 4 or 5. The Emperor is looking into a similar suit for himself.

Yeah, it's pretty big. But 7 bricks tall, jeez, that's taller than any lego basketball player I know! How can you *not* be intimidated? And if you're not... it's because this guy is only holding the spear. Wait til he's holding the gun. Just wait.
