Warthog Mk II
My second and much more accurate attempt at the Warthog, the star of Halo and its sequel. May or may not answer to the name "Puma".
About this creation
"This... is the M-12 LRV. I like to call it the Warthog."

Sarge spoke, and it was good.

Thanks to Halo, I have a new Favorite Vehicle Of All Time (sorry, time-traveling DeLorean, the magic's just not there anymore). Now, on the eve of the release of Halo 2, I realize my previous attempt was a pale imitation of the beauty of the 'Hog, and that this pinnacle of design, this paragon of chaingun-on-a-pickup-truck awesomeness, deserved better.

So yeah, anyway, I made a new one.

Well hello there. You have no idea how long it took to get the hood sculpting to look right.

The overhead shot. Notice the luxurious leather seating. Push-button warming optional.

The bed of the 'Hog. I've been trying for damn near a month to get a gun that looked decent strapped in there, and just today I built this one in about ten minutes. Go figure.

And yes, those are minifig hands with flex-tubing around the stems for handles.

Pvt. Jones hops in the hot seat. Sadly, the Master Chief couldn't be here to model the Warthog, as he's in the process of getting some new armor sculpted for him.

Jones mans the chaingun. If those new 1x1 slopes ever come in green, those armor plates are so getting rebuilt.

That thing's gotta run out of ammo sometime, right?

Sadly, this is the side of the 'Hog I see most in multiplayer matches. Stupid sticky grenades.

One of my big objectives for the rebuild was game-accurate independent suspension. While I couldn't shoehorn in rubber bands or springs, the suspension arms can move independently, which would be useful if this thing ever drove on something other than white posterboard.

Are you really still reading this? Why aren't you playing Halo 2? Get to it!

This is the best small warthog I've ever seen, so why it's only rated 4/5 I'll never know. Great work!

Defiantly better than I thought it would be at first glance. I like your innovation, but it is a tad small. I think you need to re tool the tusks, they seem to be in the wrong place. Other than that it is defiantly one of the most under played masterpieces on MOCpages.

One of the better smaller warthogs. But I don't like the blue wedges, Maybe dark bluish gray would work better.

that is so close to being better than mine! i really like everything eccept for the front end and rear bumper. the turret is awesome, the side is perfect and the scale is dead on. but seriously, the front needs a facelift or something lol.

Wow. You got the shape almost perfect. Nice sculpting job. But how does the suspension work, I dont see any springs or rubber bands?

PUMA?! "didnt i just tell you to stop makin up creatures!" BTW people, not the shoe company, it's like a big cat. and just cuz it has tusks doesnt make it a walrus. SWEET! MOC!

Yep, easily the best 'hog I've seen. You've got the shape almost perfect; I know how hard it is to find a good windshield for this beast! The front end should be a bit smoother, but I won't lower the rating for that. Outstanding job overall.
