This little fighter vehicle is inspired by the Manta from Unreal Tournament 2004. A couple of months ago Rick Hallman and I were admiring the Manta vehicle, and both decided we would make our own variations on the concept. It wasn't until the past couple weeks that we finally both set to work.

His first model can be seen here on his site. Expect another variation shortly.

I personally have not played the game, but I've had opportunity to observe a good friend play it on several occasions. The Manta is one neato vehicle. With the blades and the shooting and the hovering mhoyenflavin.. it is simply an awesome craft.

I built a couple for use in the big moonbase faction battle at NWBC, hopefully *this spot* will be edited soon with a link to the restored gallery.

While I feel this is in every way a five-star model, the green zap-guns on the front are kind of cheesy. I think it would be more appropriate with a big noisy machine gun.
