Two-man armed hover gunship.
About this creation
The Pinpoint is a futuristic version of modern attack helicopters such as the Apache. It takes off and lands vertically, and can hover in place using some type of anti-gravity generators housed in the red cylinders. The craft carries a crew of two and is armed with a beam laser cannon, multiple guided missile launchers, and two heavy cruise missiles.

I know it's early in the progression for a thruster shot, but come on, this baby's got back.

Let me know what you think of the color scheme. Do you like the tan, or should I have replaced the tan parts with gray?

I did manage to include retractable landing gear. It's not too pretty, but it works. In addition to the canopy, I also used the two minifig heads from the Rescue Chopper set (7044).

In case there was a need for a thruster shot with the landing gear deployed.

The gunner on the left looks like he got a bad burrito from the hover-lunch-wagon. The pilot on the right is smiling because it's his turn to pick the tunes. Non-stop Van Halen for the whole six-hour mission.

Van Halen Rules. (In the eighties, we didn't spell Rulz with a "z" yet.)

I like the idea of a beam laser powered by the gunship's reactor. You could fire it constantly all day long. Of course the effectiveness is reduced by smoke, dust, rain, etc., and at long distances the beam disperses too much to cause damage. That's what guided missiles are for.

...and landing gear retracted. "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!"

WANNA MAKE IT EASTERN BLOCK??? Instructions:
1. Replace tan with gray.
2. Make the curves as non-curvy as possible.
3. Delete any curves that won't sharpen into edges.
Nice (as usual) but really, the goatee-style gun doesn't look right. If you had put something under it (to reduce the "cockpit sticking out into space" look) it definitely would have gotten a 5. |

Very cool. I LOVE the color scheme. The landing gear, too. You definitely have a unique style to your stuff. Clay Atchley looks like he gets some inspiration from you. Anyways, great job. |

This is one of my favorite spacecraft designs in MOC pages. It has a remarkably nice/futuristic shape and the use of the pieces is excellent. Having both pilots sitting in there seems incredible (from the available space point of view). I do not understand why it is being rated a 3. This is more than a 5. |

The color scheme looks good as it is. The tan keeps it from looking like an Eastern Blok hovership (I'm assuming you don't want it to look like that). I like how it has all the hinges, especially around the engine. |
