Château sur la Rivière
About this creation
OK, I can't really speak French, well not much more than a smattering of phrases & nouns...

This project is a culmination of techniques that I used in several seperate creations that I built for the Classic Castle Contest in 2007. Although it's far from perfect I feel that this creation represents where I am at the moment with detailed castle building. Most notably with SNOT work on castle walls, removable sections and (of course) a detailed interrior. All of this serves as a setting for several small scenes within the creation. I hope you enjoy it. It's been an awesome experience building this, it's always fun to push the building envelope =)

Once again there are over 50 photos of this creation which is far too many to upload to this site. You can check out the full gallery on Brickshelf HERE

a marvel! le chateau sur la riviere is une merveille! une veritable oeuvre d art! un poeme! the castle in itself is a feat! you have to be visionary to create this! and you create a revolutionary building technique along the way,the context,in wich you installed your castle, make it a dream location,no less! i understand as to why you posted the pics elswhere at the time, but,i d appreciate you finish this one properly,as this creation deserves no less, and this site s more familiar to me,also ,i find it quite practical on the creators profile info it permits, like some other eminent creators ,i d like a journal from your part,as this kind of revolutionary concepts should t go unnoticed! as an example, please check out mine and comment, excellent job! genius! revolutionary!

Now, everyone take a good look at the moc's on this guy's page, and then realise that if your name isn't keith goldman or lee jones ,by any chance, you're never gonna get this good unless you're his 4 year old brother or so.

Congratulations Aaron, your creations just get better and better. The trim work throughout is just brilliant! I also love how some of the structural elements go right into the sloping rocks (the way a house can be built into a hill) - it's a beautiful touch! The minifig action's always a treat, as well. I'm tempted to say this is perfection...but I would've been temted to say that about your previous builds, and this one surpasses them, IMHO. Absolutely wonderful!!!

Very nice, I learn French at school too, the titel of your moc means 'castle on the river' but you knew that already probably, anyway, it's perfect, c'est très jolie (= it's very beautiful) I hope to see more of this kind of work from you

Le Legos tres tres bien, oui? Je n'aime pas Francais...at least the language anyway. They force us to learn it at school, and it is the most hated subject in all year levels. Anyway: Nice house!

Merde sainte! So many details everywhere one looks, from the grass to the stonework, woodwork, etc, etc. I'd love to see you do a Kelso-style journal of a build like this, from conception to completion mate.

Hey, I just seen this over on Brickshelf. This is sure nice. I like all the trees but I'm partial to plant life. Oddly I don't like to go outside much anymore. Lots of really nice bits create great texture. I love texture. And a bit of a laugh on top of that. Always enjoyable, what you make. tip of the hat to ya. garth
