X-05 Rohtaren class Battlecarrier (repost)
About this creation
The engineers of the T'ndari Imperial Military Engineering Corps are more than happy to present their best feat of engineering. The Rohtaren was originally created to take fighters and bombers to raids and skirmishes witht he LIU, but that role is changing as the LIU war comes to a cool spot, and eventually a close.
The Rohtaren class Battlecarrier now carries fighters and bombers to more pressing matters... say... our long time enemies the Jackals coming out of their quarantine zone. and also serves as a border guard for the rich kids with their superfast Yachts, keeping them inside the borders where they can't do much harm, and as a middle ground for diplomacy.
It still is a powerful weapon of war, with sheilds and armor rated "supernova", meaning it can survive a supernova when it is in that star's solar system. Oh, and watch out for what comes out of that seige cannon...

Here we go, a good upclose view. I like how i did the entrance for the hangar bay, its nice and wide, six lanes of traffic(three on top, three on the bottom).

The colors of my ships will almost always be the combination i normally use, mixed greys and blacks... with some yellows, tans, greens, and a tiny tiny bit of red in there.

NO! I WILL NEVER CHANGE THE SHAPE OR COLORS OF THE ROHTAREN CLASS BATTLECARRIER! In my last post, those who cared to review said that its shape and colors were too random, but it isn't. its not meant to be smooth, perfectly "color coordinated" eye candy for those of you who steriotype ships as being just like CARS in speed racer.

Again, as i said in the Griffin, i have this so called "color coordination", i just implement it differently than others.

Rant over...

Here is the power plant of the ship, powering the engines, not neccessarily the ship itself. nothing much to explain, but theres a bit of plasma storage on the bottom, and the hyperdrive is somewhere in there... amongst all the greebles.

Here's the science stations. you never know what you might find out there. I can picture Mister Spock sitting on the bridge saying "its life cap'n, but not as we know it."

Oh yeah, big main cannons. Aren't they intimidating? heh, just wait till you see the two sets f "little doctors" i have on this baby, they'll intimidate you. but only if you've read or listened to the book "Endor's Game". Its an excellent book, you should go read it.

Smaller main cannons slapped onto the back. The TIF always cleans up after itself. no, we don't pick up space junk and the debris of ships we've destroyed, we just destroy everything we're supposed to and we don't leave any targets behind.

Engines. the main engine, which is the big black one, can push the x-05 along in space at a speed of upto 1/3 the speed of light just on its own.

Yes, i used a couple castle peices in this. i thought they might look interesting. also, you can't escape the dreaded radar dish.

Shuttle bay. there is another one of these on the other side of the x-05 x-03s can land here in emergencies. Versatility is key!

capital ship docking system. there's only one of these, so it adds to the "random" shape of the rohtaren class battlecarrier.

Fuzzy greebles! yeah, really fun to build.

Sub seige cannon #1, the worse of the two. down in the lower left hand corner is one of the two sets of the "little doctor". now, for goodness sake, get a life, get out of that chair, and go to the libray to get a copy of Endor's Game.

There's the main hangar bay entrance again, I like how i did it. oh, and acting as the backbone of the x-05 is a really really old battery box shaped like a long horizontal cylinder. There's the "little doctors" again along the bottom, with a big gatling gun in the middle.

Sub-seige cannon #2, my favorite of the two.

Muahaha, the seige cannon. it works like a railgun, but instead of boring old tungsten darts, it hurls plasma, ion burst juice, unrecycleable sewage, and explosive shrapnel. yes, i said unrecycleable sewage, it needs to go out somewhere, why not use it as a weapon? This is one angry monkey you do NOT want to get too close to.

Cannons, defense gun banks, and the T'ndari Military symbol.

The command tower that isn't a tower. its more like a hump with a spike going off to the side coming out of it. Its got its own shielding incase the ship's supernova shields fail.

Here's the engines again. but now you see a whole bunch of tiny engines. those are only used in hyperspace, they're hyperspace compatible engines that help speed the x-05's trip through hyperspace. an atrificial black hole pod deep inside the x-05 can also be used to speed up the trip through hyperspace.

yeah, black holes and be microscopic, so why not the size of a person's head? i suspend that black hole in a pod and then... well, go watch some stargate sg-1 and stargate atlantis, they'll help you out. but just to tell you, in stargate sg-1, they put a stargate right next to the event horizon of a black hole, which theoretically gives infinite power, so they are able to keep a super-stargate open froma different location so that these super religious folks couldn't invade the milky way... yeah... run-on sentence.

Note: The contstruction of x-05s has been cancelled. Many of those that were contsructed have become mothballed, and some were taken apart for scraps. The x-05 has completed all of its original objectives and is hard for a mostly peace-time culture to maintain.

I still like it... Its still big, cool, dangerous looking, and surprisingly heavy. (yes ive actually handled this MOC) As well, it happens to be a giant greeble... seriously.

I disagree with Dalton Allen, the colors are a bit random. Also the ship looks big enough to house an interior but, there isn't. 3/5.

ok, fine. if you think this is so bad, shown by the same low rating, i will take new pictures with a better camera and repost it again. And the CQD did say that in this little "LIU war", MOCs would not be rated low as a result.
