A retirement community for obsolete Clone Troopers
About this creation
This was a last minute build for our train show, but it turned out to be my favorite creation for the show, and it was a big hit with the kids! Trooper Towers is a retirement community for Clone Troopers rendered obsolete by the newer Storm Troopers, or "upstart young whippersnappers," as the Tower residents like to call them.
On the rooftop garden, residents enjoy relaxing sunshine, cold drinks, flower gardening, and even fresh fruit.
Being retired doesn't mean it's OK to get out of shape. Troopers keep fit with a game of basketball in the back court; sadly, they are lousy at dribbling and seem to drop the ball a lot. It might be the helmets...
A full shot of the building back at home from the show. Personally, my favorite part is the 501 decorating the sidewalk, but I don't think any of the show visitors knew why that was there! Hopefully the Star Wars fans out there will appreciate my salute to the Fighting 501st.
I don't know if you are one for justice, but I have a group called Freedom Fighters who are dedicated to stoping and reporting people or groups that are mean or hurtful. I invite you to join us, we need a more 'feminine' approach to the group....
Ya gotta love retired troopers. "In my day, we didn't have tall men in black suits going around choking people, wheezing alla time an' doin' alla work.. no sir.. no siree..." Clever, and a great MOC! The trooper smelling the flowers is a favourite.. I read a comment of yours that said you lack female minifig parts. Have you tried www.bricklink.com?
Very nice! I love the concept, I would have never have thought of that! Great job, and keep them coming! Oh, about the wheel chairs, have you seen Mr. Young's Glowing Gardens? You might want to use some of those, just a thought.
Great moc, great reference (501) and great humor all around! So, do they go to Florida and drive 35 in the fast lane with their turn signal on for 7 miles before or after this? keep 'em coming! ~ Chris.
