Sheffler: We are gonna rock you... yeah thats it!
Pierson: That is stupid- so stupid. Feel sorry for yourself. Thats the worst summery ever!

CK (the codename for Creathnach Ktirio) has been around since the alliance between the C-Quadrant Defenders and the T'ndari Imperial Fleet was first created. The two factions had to put up some kind of secret bunker layer on Salachar for security purposes, but unfortunately, they lacked their best architects. Instead, a very simple inexpensive base was constructed in an existing abandoned mining pit. The top was heavily camouflaged to prevent the Jackals or Axons from noticing the relatively small installation. The two factions brought in some of their most advanced equipment to keep the base fully functional within one structure.
The base itself consists of 5 levels, and is manned by anywhere from a 10 to 15 people, as well as a pair of robots (a Type A and Type C to be exact). The four lower levels contain power systems, and storage of various cargo, supplies, and weaponry, while the top level is where the control center and bunks are located. Guards patrol all floors of the base to make sure that security is top notch.
As well, two large turrets can pop out of the top of the base, and defend the installation from the air if need be. One is a T'ndari rail gun, and the other is a C-Quadrant Defender gauss cannon- yes, there is a big difference. In fact, this is a perfect opportunity to explain that. The rail gun launches projectiles, while the gauss cannon does not. Rather, it fires a magnetic field similar to a concentrated EMP, but one that serves to rip ships to pieces by screwing with their internal magnetic fields, and disrupting electrical lines. Therefore, it would be useless against vehicles made entirely of non-ferrous material.
This is just a small portion of CK. Other portions contain a hanger bay for a single X-03 Komodo Dragon, Wolverine, or several X-06 Griffins. There are also experimental weapon-of-mass-destruction systems, as well as barracks and robot construction facilities. The section present is the main control center, cargo direction/storage area, and power station division.
As well, the bases storage holds a large amount of CQD standard issue rifles for when the need arises. BTW IMPORTANT: The following MOC was a joint project between the CQD and the TIF. Yes, we physically built this while in the same room, working together. We each did the same amount of work, and therefore it will be posted on BOTH of our pages.

Side-shot of the base... showing the door.

Overall shot of all floors. (Sorry its dark)

Other side shot.

Back side shot... you aren't suppost to see this at all. Yes, those are stickers. Yes, I was ten- get over it.

Bottom floor... Environmental controls and cargo storage.

Captain Haley opening a valve to draining a section of the coolant system. Its part of environmental control.

Wow, a Wolverine engine, a military grade RADAR array (found on the Rusty Bull), a deck of cards, and a pizza... you can cook those on that black top hat looking thing- its hot enough.

Hmm, looks like a crate of airdrop mines, and a Nikronian steam tank ...that we borrowed ...without asking.

A type A robot assists captain Haley. In the back, we see an emergency power generator.

That thing in the crate is a T'ndari anti-personal high-speed gatling gun. A sniper rifle and a sidearm sit in the barrel.

More bottom floor...

The middle floor is really hard to photograph... we didn't want to take it apart, it was that awesome.

A guard patrols the floor.

The floor's telephone sits next to a record player for entertainment.

If you look down there, you can see a pair of standard rifles at the ready. The greebles and cargo from this floor are on display further down the page- trust us.

Bing! Third floor, cargo crane, and cargo control.

That guard smacked his gun on the... *achoo* *achoo* crane. (Sheffler sneezed when we were writing)

A barrel-a-sumthin, and semi-crate of guns.

Greebles, a power cable, and a heating hose.

A type C robot does nothing, while a human guard does something... this is where crane control is located- and a telephone.

Aww yeah! Thats my kinda crane!

Forth floor! Power station controls, and power system management.

A technician monitors the power levels going up to main control.

Top floor... rather, just a random door in the side of a hill... pay no mind.

OMG! There are people!

Inside, we see weapon systems operators, two T'ndari marines, admiral Adam (leader of the TIF), unnamed head of T'ndari security, and the arm of a sleeping dude.

Sam Kell, leader of the CQD, dropped by to check on CK base. You can't see him, but there is another guy behind Sam... trust me.

The two turret operators, watch their stations for any changes. You're thinking “turrets? What turrets?”

The guy in the bunk cut one, so everyone cleared out. Sam Kell was researching his dinner at the time.

The two T'ndari marines are still there because they have breathing apparatus... enough to deal with the smell of quite natural gas.

Here are the two turret operation stations. Trust us, there are turrets in the MOC.

Here is main control. The center console is communications, and the big one is overall station status ... and Sam Kell's dinner research.

Here is the guy who dealt it... taking a nap. Oh, and every bunk gets a stereo.

Only the bottom bunks get movies though.

Supposedly the ground... but actually, the roof.

But Oh Noes! There are turrets amidst! Sweet camouflage!

ZOMFG! They are firing! Crap, the camera copter!

First, a T'ndari Railgun- very robust, dangerous, and oh-so-fun.

A C-Quadrant Defenders Gauss Cannon- great against metal stuff, since they don't fire projectiles- its just a magnetic field.

Ok, see that?

Now you don't!

Its Teh-Railgun.

Apparently shooting a plant.

Oh wait, just retracting.

That's where the Railgun platform sits- its spring loaded, using a LEGO forklift.

This is the rubber band powered scissor lift for the gauss cannon.

Wow, its even got camouflage for when its popped up!

Here is the staff (and guests) for CK base, from left to right, and top row to bottom:
1st row: T'ndari Admiral Adam, Unnamed T'ndari Head of Security, TIF X-03 Pilot (trained in Railgun operation), T'ndari Marine #1, T'ndari Marine #2.
2nd row: C-Quadrant Defender Commander Sam Kell, CQD Technician #1, CQD Technician #2
3rd row: CQD Soldier #1, CQD Soldier #2, CQD Soldier #3.
4th row: Captain Haley (CQD), Type C robot “Scruffy”, CQD Operator #1, CQD Operator #2, Type A robot “Dewey”, CQD Operator #3.

The turrets! *achoo* (Sheffler sneezed again)

A Wolverine engine, a drum of oil, and a military grade RADAR array. Oh and that oil? Fuh-lammable.

Here are the greebles inside the gutted Wolverine engine.

Various consoles from this section of the station: Railgun controls, Gauss Cannon controls, greebles from the second floor, and that stolen Nikronian steam tank.

Box-o-airdrop mines, semi-crate of CQD standard rifles, and T'ndari anti-personal high-speed gatling gun.

Random barrel, random crate, and not-so-random cargo crane.
Its over! You can go outside and play now! If you enjoyed this MOC, please let us know- its our first joint project.

this is...FANTASTIC! but someone has stolen credit for it and made their own page with this on it
If you are talking about D. Sheffler, you have it wrong. He and I worked together on this, so we both posted it simultaneously. The code for the pages is identical. Now, if someone OTHER than D. Sheffler has stolen it, I would like to know who it is.

This is extremly sophisticated, great job. I really like how the whole thing is underground. All the technology in this creation is amazing. The guns and other stuff that comes out of the ground is a very cool feature. |
