A beautiful blue mosque evoking the grandeur of the Safavid Empire!
About this creation
Hi everyone,
This is a self-designed mosque inspired by Safavid Islamic monument designs. The mosque has 3 main entrances including a 24 x 4 entrance in the middle serving as an inspiring archway.
Amongst other notable features to this mosque are the 20 x 20 x 10 minaret, 2 4 x 4 x 25 towers and 16 glass atriums evenly spaced throughout the main prayer hall. Additionally, the entire mosque is tiled in blue and white tiling which reflects the grandeur of its high walls and tall structural columns. Lastly, a special room right at the front is maintained for historical or administrative purposes with 6 6 x 6 x 1 atriums and completed white tiling.
Construction took place over 4 months in 2007 with over 3500 regular bricks and 500 specialty bricks purchased from a variety of vendors (special thanks to Nerd and Toybricks Brigade for all their help tracking down goods). 6 16 x 16 greenboard were purchased for the foundation of this structure.
Unfortunately due to time commitments I am unable to complete the construction of this mosque nor can I keep it. if anyone is interested in giving this structure a new home or perhaps need a lot of blue bricks check out the auction for this item. thanks!
