Yeah, it's epic and awesome and absolutely amazing, but what really gets me are the shadows. VERY well done, Mr. Kenney! By the way, how do you avoid getting lost in the colors during construction? I mean, while building a mosaic at this scale it seems like it would be quite easy to get confused, even if looking at a picture. |

I had a feeling you were the type who had blue eyes. From the look of that portrait, it looks like you don't get out in the sun much... Can't blame you, neither do I! Keep up the good work. I'm also wondering here, can you get fired from being a Certified Professional? You can't, can you.
Good day |

Big head? Hey, you said it... Kelso and I were actually discussing you and your "mental state" recently. Thanks for answering our question (That's a good thing by the way). "Nice work" just doesn't really seem to do this justice, you know? ~ Chris. |

If you did this "by hand" and not by computer software, then my hats off. Well done. I would personally rather build a super model or something if doing such a project but a self portrait is nice too. |

Very nice. I love the use of color. Now just what are you going to do with a big picture of yourself? I say, as not to ever be accused of being self-involved, you should just send it to me for safe keeping. ;) |

Fantsatic work as always, Sean. The colour scheme works very well (mixture of warm colours with the cool blue.) You have to buy the elements? I never knew that! |

I mount my LEGO portraits to a wooden backing using a top secret US military patent pending technique. Or glue. Normally my highly photorealistic portraits are done using a computer program, but this style of "blocky" portraiture is more like a painting, so I like to design the portrait by hand. I also make changes as I build. And no... I have to buy my LEGO bricks from The LEGO Company... No freebies for me! :) |

The portrait is 50 inches by 50 inches... so that's 25 green baseplates. (5 by 5). It's really big! :) |
