Whaddya get when you cross Mike Yoder's Ship Interiors Concepts with Crimso Giger's 7 Bases? And what happens when you add Shannonia to the mix? Well, if ya got a minute...
About this creation
I know it's not my comics, *still* but this is a little pick-me-up to get me back on 'em. Excuse my bley and gray SNOT color mixes, but it's supposed to look like a Ghostship. Suck it up and get over it. On a lighter note, [or a heavier, depending on how much you like the MOC] this first shot's just an overview of the MOC, nothing exciting. And yes, I know there are 2 studs not covered up in the front. But bear with me, they will be soon.
This one's a closeup of the pipe-pressure system. Although I came up with my own design, credit goes to Mr. Yoder for the idea, as he had many pipes [and valves] on his Ship Interior. Full credit goes to him for the inspiration. He paved the way, gave me a draft, hooked me up, got me a hot da--, well you get the idea.
Another closeup, this time of the left wall. The idea for the computer-in-the-wall is Crimso's, he's always bubbling over with 'em. He and Yoder come up with 'em, I just rip both of 'em off.
The fire hose came out rather well, I think. It looks Star Wars-ey, and took only 2 pieces to make. You may call me lazy, but I call myself "efficiently superior". Another benficiary of the fire hose: it saves me SNOT pieces, which as of right now are an endangered species at my house. Never fear though, I just place a $60+ order on Pick-A-Brick. They will soon once again become a game-animal that's always in season. The sooner the better, I'm getting hungry.
These next 3 pics are of how I got the back wall to stand up without a wall to support the, er, wall.
*Professional hand model used for this scene, do NOT attempt. I do all my own stunts.
Vőila! Perfecto! Not only does "it" support the back wall, but it connects to the underside of the side walls for extra support.
And finally, we arrive at the last pic. These clones aren't in reality carrying on their duty as if the ship hadn't been taken over, I'm just using them as an example of the greebs being used.
Stay tuned for the next edition, Ghostshippia Expanding Upward. Although that's not what it's going to be called, it will extend upward. That ladder on the right side doesn't lead into oblivion. And that's what I meant earlier in the MOC when I was talking about Shannonia.
It was worth the wait !!! So you plan to do a whole ghostship interior in this style ? Great idea ! I love the mix of the different grey here. This room could be in the "Alien" saga, there's something dark, almost frightening, in it. Beautiful greebles and overall, one of my favorite MOC from you (with your previous one)- I love the pic with the clones too - Thanks to have quote me :) - It's a pain that you're not "addicted" to Lego because you're very good with it !
