The Ludgonian Industrial Union is proud to present our newest product in the line of planetary defense, the BFG Defensive Turret. The BFG is an upgraded version of the LIU Planetary Defense Turret.
Unlike its predecessor, the BFG Turret can turn 360°, fire multiple shots without re-charging, and deliver carnage higher into the atmosphere (PDT = 26 miles while the BFG = 185 miles.)
More importantly, the BFG is not controlled by a gunner, like the PDT was. Instead, the BFG is installed into a network and run from a central computer. This eliminates operator error and increases its accuracy a hundred fold.
The BFG consists of two hyper-fusion proton guns that fire highly charged particles at enemy invaders/attackers. Although the BFG lacks the raw power of the PDT, the BFG still gets the job done.
Here's a pic with a minifig for scale. Each turret costs 2.6 million credits*.
*Note: The BFG costs 2.6 million credits, but that will only get you the hardware. The software for the gun costs 5.9 million credits, the ability to network all your BFG's costs 77.98 million credits, and the key to turn it on costs 5.6 million credits. Thanks in advance.
Note 2: I posted it on my homepage, but for anyone that cares, I just bought a new house. As I move, I will not be posting very much, mostly because all my Legos had to be packed up (It was a long and difficult process). This moc was built before the move, therefore I was able to post it.
it looks much better than it s predecessor, but, i agree that the set up is nt as good as the other one, a cannon in nature context, looks so much better! it s superbly designed tough, i love it! good show!
sad to hear that the bricks got packed up for the move. I can sympathize. I'm on a business trip to ShangHai, and packed a few tubs away in the luggage. 3 days after landing in ShangHai, my luggage has finally arrived. Woulda' hated to have lost 1,000 worth of vignette-building bricks. You and others have inspired me to try my hand at building a vignette world to explore. I'm gonna' take mine into a very controversial direction. Hopefully there won't be any attacks from the LIU anytime soon.
What's been going on Ludgy? Where have you been? I haven't seen any new MOCs from you, or comments from you. You better be coming up with some big, boxy, mech or ship or something! See ya later! ~Phong Chang
Want to end an invasion before it starts? Yes. Yes I do. After launching Woodcorp, (Look out for it, it's coming soon!) I have become amazingly rich, so i'll take one of these.... Giants, and make it snappy! This is a sweet Moc, but it strays from the white we know and love - Callum
oooh, crimso,a skull you say?that sounds goood....yay.you're posting again.....we are sooo glad....ha..ha ha...oh,okay,way to go!I love it!the turret looks awesome, and I love the hinges,it looks kinda like one of those SAM site turrets on C&C.Igf you don't know what I mean, get over it.but you should have made a forest or some kind of habitat like you did with the......other defense...turret,I think....heh heh...oh,and can you tell me where you used to live?I need to go buy that house to see if you left any legos there....he he he..
Well Ludgy, here's to progress and profits! Quite a nice upgrade, and I'd say BFG is right. Although with it looking a bit like WALL-E's head, it's deceptively innocent in it's appearance. Best of luck with the move...never a fun task, but hopefully worth it all in the long run.
nice work ludgy. currently im working on a nano-scale tengen toppa gurren lagann (even though it's bigger than my gundams, it has to be nano-scale because tengen toppa gurren lagann out sizes a universe.) so i've only posted a steam flyer and 2 different liberty gundam variations lately. due to my lack of red parts, the prototype version will not be as good as usual. enough of my babbling; i'm glad to see a new moc from you. later. ~sho
Let's see... 2.6 plus 5.9... carry the one... Dangit! I tried to tell Mrs. Sims that math didn't apply to the real world but she was right all along! Stay in school kids! Congrats on the new house. You should have asked SigOcean to help you move. I mean, He could barely help you move the remote control but he's always good for a laugh. And then there's the beer and pizza after that he would help himself to of course and don't even get me started on what he'd do to the bathroom... you know what, you were probably better off. Oh yeah, I like the upgrade better too. ~ Chris.
YAY! you finally built a black thing! i love it when people use lots of black bricks with plates! BTW, black and yellow is the coolest color evah! and have you seen some of my latest uploads? i need your opinion!
