BC-01 Sovereign class Battlecruiser (microscale)
About this creation
After the decomissioning of most Rohtaren Class Battlecarriers, many of the TIF's admirals desired an equally dependent and powerful ship to be their flagships. It may lack the carrier capabilities of the x-05, and may not have the feared seige cannon, but it is still equal in firepower. The Sovergeign class Battlecruiser sports a weapon that before this point has only been in development stages, the Pulsar gun. The gun is an anti-capital weapon, giving a burst of accelerated ions. It was inspired by the gun on the Pulsar Gunship Corvette of the game, Homeworld 2. The BC-01 also features a weapon that is rare in the TIF's arsenal at the moment, anti-fighter torpedos. These luanch like a normal torpedo, but when they get close to their target, they break open, luanching several small guided missles. These torpedos were inspired by pre-upgraded torpedos on the torpedo frigate of the game, Homeworld 2. As a result of the torpedos being inspired by those in Homeworld 2, they also sport tracking abilities.

Armaments of BC-01 Sovereign class Battlecruiser:
-8 anti-capital torpedo tubes
-2 anti-fighter torpedo tubes
-2 heavy gun turrets, 2 guns each
-1 heavy pulsar turret, 2 guns
-2 pairs of the little doctor, if you are unfamiliar with this, read Ender's Game(google is also your friend)
-8 anti-fighter flak cannons
-8 medium point defense guns
-2 ion beam cannons

A front-top view of BC-01. I really tried to smooth most of the studs.

Top view.

Side view.

The Sovereign sports two bridges, a main bridge, and a battle bridge, much like in Star Trek TNG(see first episode).

four of the anti-capital torpedo tubes.

You might not recognize it, but the anti-fighter torpedo tube is smack-dab in the middle of this picture.

Ah, isn't it nice to have quarters right next to the main guns? You may suffer hearing loss, but at least you'll feel very safe. (incase you didn't realize it, those star wars control panels set in between the turrets are supposed to be quarter
s windows.)

The front end of this battlecruiser. here you can see two of the four little doctor beam emmittors.

Greebles along the side.

Better view of greebles towards the back.

The heavy pulsar turret.

It has it's own command center. This is because to aim it, the weapons experts on the bridge would be relying purely on instruments, which are not nearly as reliable as a person's eyes.

The bakside, just behind the bridge. I like building this part because I can go ballistic with greebles. Sorry you can't really see the ship's fins, I don't own any that are in a better better color(IE, light grey).

Engines. I sometimes wonder if it is out of laziness that I use my BAR and BAR mk2 engines... they're pretty easy to make.

Oops, I almost forgot! The Sovereign class Battlecruiser does indeed have a detailed bottom. Sorry about the glare.

There is one, lonely fin on the bottom. Again, sorry about the glare.

Front end's bottom... huh, the glare is mostly gone, what happened?

Moving down.

Back end's bottom. sorry about the mess on the underside of the engines. when you have an uneven number of studs, it's really hard to do a clean job of making engines not fall off.

Blast... I meant to get the greebles in front of the bridge a long time ago. oh well, you get to see the quarter's windows of deaf people and the main guns again.

you see the transparent red round studs? those are supposed to be like signal lights when BC-01 is in port and stuff... or moving through civilian traffic.

Greebles on the bridge.

Don't fool around with the TIF.

Note: This creation is 57 studs long, about 24 studs wide, and i didn't count how many bricks tall. it is microscale with a 1:10 ratio. this means that if i didn't build BC-01 in microscale, it would have been 570 studs long. if it were a real space battlecruiser, it would be 570 feet long.

Quoting Gus Indo Cool! since you added it to the COP, is it a COP ship now?
I'll have to say yes and no to that one. yes because it will fight for the C.O.P., but no because it is still a ship of the T'ndari Imperial Fleet. Concerns of the Homeworld come first.

Excellent ship you got going here. I wish I had enough tiles to make something that big.

I don't really want to give up or go to a forum. I enjoy seeing my creations at highest rated, but this spammer seems to never stop. I know ratings don't matter to you, but I enjoy having high ratings. PS: Spamming is different than bumping. That green eggs and spam guy is a bumper. Probably my friend Patrick pranking me. As soon as school starts tomorrow, I'll tell him to quit. I don't think he realizes that it's annoying. If it's not him, then it might just be some random $#!7bag!

I took your advice about when to post. Not really that as much as the fact that I ran out of black parts for my next mech, which is meant to be skimpy looking in the show. My speeder phase is over. I have always been more of a mech maker. Most of my mechs are greebly. I guess you can say that I'm a wannabe Brian Kescenovitz, even though I have only made mini replicas of his Dawn Forge mechs. They're very accurate, especially my Mini SCHISM V.3. Check 'em out if you can. Enough of my babbling. I'l see you later. ~Sho

in response to the last comment, I use a standard scale in all of my microscale. 1 stud in microscale is 10 studs when it isn't. given that this ship is 57 studs long, it would be 570 studs long if it weren't. sorry, i should have put the length, width, and such on this page.

Your technique is definitely improving, which is good. However, try to make microscale ships look like less WWII battleships. It's a common obstacle for builders, but remember there's no up or down in space. Try out more SNOT designs.

great job. thanks for your comment. i guess you're right about that whole "i hate spammers thing," but i was beginning to get very frustrated. the spammer has done this for about 2-3 months and i wasn't in the best mood. my day didn't play out too well. check out my other mocs. lets leave the whole "i hate spammers" incedent behind us. i wouldn't want you or anyone else to think less of me for that.

Wow, what an awesome microscale build. Just some friendly tips, from one microspace builder to another: If you arange greeblies asymettricaly, they tend to look more realistic. Also, if you want weapons, chose one general size, so the scale of your ship is better shown. But all in all, a great job!

Whoa... wow. I am seriously impressed- the first version wasn't exactly as neat. Now, it looks a heck of alot more battle ready. Its clean, its well armed... loaded with weapons. Seriously, bravo! (Btw, I saw this in person just before a few of the last detail changes. Its even more epic when you handle it)
