Minifig Scale Maersk Ship
Cargo carrying Maersk container ship to minifig scale.
About this creation
I kept the same hull, but moved the superstructure back some, then I put all five original cargo carrying slats in the space in front of the superstructure, I reworked the superstructure to minifig scale and put the stairs going down to the stern, inside there are three levels, 1 bottom, 1 intermediate, and the bridge on top. It can carry 20 eight-stud containers (5x2x2).

If you go to www.lego.com and type in Maersk Container Ship it comes up with a new set that looks exactly like yours but a little different. The set number is #10155. Whats up with that!!!!!?

Dude either you copied a ship almost exactly like this or they copied you! I was on Bricklink and I found a ship in ( Troy's surplus toys ) that was almost exact to this ship.

It actually isn't floating, I took the pictures on a glass table right after it rained,to give the allussion that it was floating.

Wow ... very nice ship ! ... but i got to admit, the first thing that drew my attention was that glass table ... for a few moments, i thought it was water ! ... then i was wondering to myself, "how is that ship floating ?" ... and then i was thinking that maybe you had that ship in a swimming pool ... until i saw the last pics, and could see that it was a table (Lol) ... "whew", talk about a brain-teaser !

Exelent minifig boat! That thing can carry huge amounts of cargo.Never heard if this one before. But I have seen some ships like this being loaded while my mom and dad and brother were fishing at Texas City Dike. They were huge and would suck our louers out way far out into the bay.I mean it would be 10 feet of water that was dark and icky and then allof the sudden we could see the bottom.
