Well I am almost completed. The layout is 4'-9"X 10'-0" and there is somewhere around 50,000 peices. I still have some interior work and I think I will add more to the top of the mountain, not happy with the somewhat flat top. Someday I will get done, but meanwhile enjoy the pictures (hopefully). I have landing lights, interior lights, actual motorized doors, a motorized wench in the ATAT for raising and lowering troops/equipment. There is a sick bay with custon medical droid and recovery chamber, and a command center all decked out. Check out my other pages for more shots of the walkers and exterior battle scene.

The planet is covered in snow, so actually the entire floor is snow (which is white) with grey panels covering small walkways in the hanger bay and parts of the floor in the command center and sick bays.

I love Hoth. I want to LIVE on Hoth. My Taun-Taun would totally make it past the first marker. I just can't get over the detail in this MOC. The LED lights, the hoses and wires, the individual bays for the X-wings and Snowspeeders. I particularly love the redesigned AT-AT's. These are a thing of beauty. I'm with Heather and Chris on this one...I smell a 2009 MOCcies nomination. |

I only have one word that would make this scene better. Taun taun. OK, technically that's two words but you see where I'm going here. Heather's right you know. Early contention for best dio is a REAL possibility. Or maybe we should just give you the award now and do away with all that hassle of voting and waiting till next year and... This scene is magnificent! I must say, though, that when Luke crash-lands the snowspeeder, his partner has already been killed. Unless you have him walking back simply for the footprint effect, which by the way is awesome, you probably should have him cooped up in his little speeder, waiting to be crushed by one of your awesome AT-ATs. btw, I like your take on the 2-1B unit. :D |
