AT-RT Assault
Eurobricks Clone Wars competition 2008 - 1st Prize Vignette Category Winner
About this creation
Scouting the Separatist held planet of Argoth, an AT-RT mounted clone-trooper reconnaissance battalion receives a distress call from the downed transport 'Whimsical Fate'. Several troopers immediately move out in response. As they approach the signal's location they encounter a squad of battle-droids at the bottom of a steep embankment. Fearlessly the troopers charge down upon their enemy; blasting them with laser-fire and crushing them underfoot...

Quoting Graaf Pieter Very cool to see how the AT-RT is actually ''jumping'' on those droids, crushing their little heads, ha!
Thanks! Action was the one thing I tried to capture in this scene: the AT-RT catching those droids by surprise, charging them off that cliff-top. I think my AT-RT design could do with some revision now though!

Many thanks for the great comments everyone, I really appreciate it! Yes, the helmet is one of Arealight's awesome customs. They're available from his store on Bricklink. Since this competition I've subtly modified my AT-RT design which I will upload to MOCpages soon. In the meantime take a look here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22756

I saw this one VignetteBricks and thought it was really cool. The AT-RT is very nicely redone, and the driver fig looks great. Nice work!

Besides the colors, [not much to complain about] this is an amazing vignette. I love the way it's standing on uneven ground. I've never seen such good action and detail in an 8x8 vig, so 5/5 easily.
