Occasionally, I run out of blocks before my building is finished. Itís one of the sad truths of Lego building. Anyone whoís ever spent an entire day building with Lego knows what Iím talking about. Details become compromised, corners get cut and before you know it, youíre left with something very different from where your intentions were in the beginning. Sounds like life.
I skimped endlessly on this one. I barely had enough tile to finish the interior floors. The details around the windows didnít get done and the landscape was hardly started. I had planned on a garden wall, decking and fountains.
What weíre left with is an art deco flavored home called The Ocean Drive. It is a two story, flat roofed house with an interesting front entry . The tower of windows is the homeís focal point. The interior contains a kitchen, living room and an upstairs bedroom.
I received the new Lego beach house set for my birthday from my friend Ron and I used some of those pieces in this house. Most notably, the front door and first floor windows.
Iím not unhappy with it. Itís a charming house. Itís just not finishedÖexcept for in my imagination.
Nice. If you hadn't told me it was unfinished I wouldn't have known. You just need to get more pieces. Who doesnt't? I'm always running out of something. Use what you got and that makes you think harder. Good color combination and nice detail in and out. garth
