About this creation
Here is my entry for Jeffery Smiths fighter contest. The X9 is designed fo air to air combat and is very efficient against enemy fighter craft, especially if the enemy is in superior number they are able to turn the sides. Their weapons and impressive speed and maneuverability make “Sharks” to deadly opponents to every other fightercraft. The maximum speed is about 2550 km/h. It has four different kinds of missiles: 2x LRMGM ( Long Range Multi Guided Missiles) which areable to recognize infra red signatures and have their own radar system. They also can be controlled by a gunner in two seated jets. 4x SRMGMs are the “little brothers” of the LRMGMs for short range combat. 2x Black Harpoon missiles and 2x SpearVII missiles. The fighter is controlled by one pilot which can concentrate mainly on firing missiles because of a new generation of autopilot that contains special flight algorithms for outmaneuvering opponents. It's about 17.5 meters long and 11 meters wide. Hope you don't mind my bad English cause I'm still learning at school.

Great piece of work. I'm especially impressed by your work to not be bound by the direction of the studs. Very inventive.

This is great! I'm judging for Jeffery's contest, so here are the results. 10/10 Profile. Nice shaping, awesome camo, nice nose, excellent job. 9/10 Weapons. Good, but they could be a little better. 10/10 Technique. Awesome wings and landing gear. 10/10 Creativity. The four-intake design, air scoop, and tailfins are unique and awesome. 9/10 Information. It is good, but I find it awkward to read. A statistics list would make it easier. 9/10 Name. X9 318C is great, but "Shark" is used too often. All in all, 57/60. Excellent job, this is really going to be stiff competition! Nice work -- -- Michael

Allein von der Größe her ginge die Maschine auch locker als Bomber durch - sie erinnert mich ein bisschen an die britischen V-Bomber - kannst ja mal nachschauen bei Wiki... Steffen

Because I like this so much, I´m gonna give you the first rating I write for other participants: 1. Overall profile: 10/10 (amazing how it looks on landing gear as well...) 2. Weapons: 09/10 (very diversified armament, but a tad more unison would look cool, too.) 3. Building techniques: 10/10 (tons of interesting aspects - SNOT work, landing gear, wing sweep etc.) 4. Creativity: 09/10 (very unvonventional design features!) 5. Information: 08/10 (the text is cool as an introduction, but a list of specific chosen aspects would make it better) 6. Name: 08/10 (it "hurts" me a bit to say, but the name for such a beast could be more intimidating...) General score: 54 Boah Sven das ist mein Lieblings-Entry von allen anderen Teilnehmern!! Echt cool! Steffen

Hey Sven:), Geile Maschine! I love tons of details about it: overall shape and the enormously attractive wing sweep (similar to an F-16), the awesome tail fins (which I agree could be bigger, but they are still awesome), the nose section, the massive four intakes which give it some sort of "monster look", the black, sleek nose cone, the camo pattern and the unconventional fifth intake on top of the fuselage. Awesome work!

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!The only thing I would change would be to make the tailfins higher, but I love their design!I wish you had instructions! P.S. check out my creations!

Love it! The only thing is the vertical stabilizers. Thy are much too short in height. Also, the wings are a tad too far aft. Other than that, awesome!

That's crazy stuff mate. The only way you could of made it better is if you did a Harrier or Tornado instead ;-).

My first review! Are you thrilled? I'm thrilled! I love this thing, especially the original tail design. The amount of detail is also inspiring and the design elements real-world inspired and yet taking it to another level of sci-fi. Your use of colour also gives it a foot in the real world with a cam scheme reminiscent of the Mig-29 and similar Russian fighters. Great stuff!
