The story: This is the Delta Phantom, a modified KDY Delta 4 starfighter. The Delta 4 was a predecessor of the Jedi Starfighters that saw a somewhat limited production run. The stock model was well armed, but a little bit slow. Still, it was very durable, and before the Z-95 came along, it was a very popular ship for smugglers, etc. as an upgrade vehicle. The Delta Phantom was owned by an alien named Ruk (who I will have a separate page for also). As a mercenary and part-time bounty hunter, Ruk needed some special modifications. He also happens to be from the race that invented cloaking technology, and the Phantom has that tech as one of it's upgrades. Other upgrades include stronger lasers, a hyperdrive, and much faster normal space engines. Also, the ship has no landing gear. It relies on repulsorlifts so as to decrease any signs that it was there.
The MOC: This ship breaks one of those unspoken rules - don't do an all-black ship. It's something I put together here and there over the past few weeks while I was working on other ships, made from spare parts. The canopy is borrowed from a B-Wing kit.
