Imperial Chalice SWT-A (Standard Wheeled Transport-Artillery) The Imperial Standard Wheeled Transport is a low cost and versatile vehicle that can be customized to perform a number of missions. The standard SWT consists of an eight wheeled drive platform with an elevated control room. All versions of the SWT have a staging area for a platoon of soldiers. The vehicle is lightly armored, but capable of withstanding small mine blasts and small arms fire. The artillery model has a heavy mounted turbolaser which can be elevated up to 30 degrees. The turbo laser is usually controlled from the cockpit, but can be controlled via an exterior control station in an emergency. This variant on the chalice platform was introduced shortly after the Clone Wars and was meant to replace older and more expensive turbo laser platforms. The SWT-A saw only limited use during the Galactic Civil War because the Rebels rarely employed the heavy land vehicles and armored bases that required such heavy firepower. Other models of the Chalice platform saw much greater use.
