State of the Confederacy Address 1
Grievous gives a speech. And I give a place to join my alternate Star Wars universe.
About this creation
Lord-General Grievous of the Confederact of Independent Systems gives a speech, more aimed at stifled Republic worlds that are suffering than the CIS. After the war was over, this speech was recognized as a major contribuitor to the final victory.

On a non in-universe note, this is also the page were you can join my alternate Star Wars if you wish to do so. Outline: Grievous kills Kenobi and Skywalker on the Invisible Hand, and excecutes Palpitine (Lord Sidious) live on the Holonet. This leads to a much prolonged war in which the CIS eventually wins, leading to a much better galaxy under a Grievous that has had his mind returned to it's nearly natural state. No rage increaser or blocked memories, everything laid bare. He makes quite a good leader.

Speech Begins

Good evening, citizens of the CIS. I am here tonight to give the first State of the Confederacy Address. As many know, I am not one for wasting time. I will get strait to the point. Our economy is soaring, and our production is as well. But I have greater things to talk about. The War. For five long years it has raged. It seems only yesterday, two years ago from this date, that I launched my raid on Coruscant. As you know, it was a massive success, but, tragically, we lost Count Dooku. His life was avenged though. Today, the Republic crumbles. More and more systems join our cause. An entire fifth of the Jedi order has defected to us. This is good.

Yet the War looks to have no end in near site. The Republic is still a force to be reckoned with. Even with the destruction of Kamino, and the fall of Alderaan, which happened not hours ago, they are still strong. At this point, the tide of war changing is unlikely. But recent estimates predict that the War won’t end for at least another five years, if not more. That is not acceptable.

The Republic will not go easily. We have learned this the hard way. Mygeeto, Felucia, Boz Pity. They lost on all those planets, yet it was a hollow victory for us. This war will not be won quickly through sheer military might. Our droids might be able to outthink a clone, but not overpower him. Despite the success of the Inner Rim sieges, they are taking too long. This war is starting to get to all of us.

The Republic is not what it once was. That is why we left in the first place. Corruption still runs rampant, laws go un-enforced, and crime is at its highest levels. All because the Republic fails to act. Some worlds remain foolishly loyal to the Republic, despite their requests for help being ignored. I ask these worlds to see the truth! Before this all began, they were forgotten and swept away by more ‘important’ matters. Now they only are listened to so that that may not join us. If we were to end this conflict now, they would be ignored once more. Rise up forgotten! Rise up!

Only by destroying the Republic from within may this war end soon. If those worlds, cast under the shadow of greed and corruption, rose up, it would split the Republic into pieces. It is the only way. We can settle ancient conflicts once and for all, free worlds from crime and injustice, and remove even the deepest poverty. If a world was not to want an end to their suffering, then it would stay with the Republic. If they wanted a brighter and better future, then they would join the Confederacy.

Slowly, but surely, we advance. I don’t know about any of you watching this, but this war has gone on long enough. Even if we have to conquer Coruscant itself, we will win. For too long the Republic has ruled unjustly and unfairly. Too long. As soon as it’s over, the CIS will begin its transition into a democracy. It will not be the inactive, useless democracy that the Republic has become, but a functioning one. And it will stay functioning. My plan is far from complete, but if all is played out right, the galaxy will be better than it ever was under the Republic.

As Padme Amidala of Naboo said before being gunned down in the Senate, “This war represents of failure to listen.” And so it does. The CIS listens, though. If one were to compare our worlds to theirs, they would see that we are more stable than they have been in the past 500 years. Our standard of living for even the most ordinary people is rising, and crime is becoming unheard of.

In conclusion, I ask once again worlds being smothered by the Republic’s lack of acting to act themselves. Join us! Our ranks are open to any who wish to join. This is Lord-General Grievous, good night, and good luck.

Speech Ends

What he said. Feel free to join the alternate universe, as long as you aren't a Republic zealot trying to make them have a sudden comeback. That ain't happenin'. The Republic is the bad guys in this, keep that in mind. So... yea. Please leave a comment, or at least rate this.

Thanks for the reviews. And Grievous does want peace, but in a completely normal way. As I mentioned earlier, his brain was restored. Our cyborg friend now just wants an end to it all.

If anyone wonders how Grievous killed Palpy... The General can be a pretty sneaky beaver sometimes. Chancellor, sitting there, live holonet broadcast. Grievous gives a monlogue, and suddenly sticks a lightsaber in him. After whipsering to Palpy that he would not be killed. And I can't pull off coughing effects. I suck at that. Maybe a Jedi that went Confederacy force healed him or something. I dunno. It seems he has gained respect for the Jedi who can see which side is really on the right side of the conflict. The war effort owes alot to the turned Jedi.

So far, we got Baktoid Armor in, and the alternate universe Black Scarabs. Why Clones would join ths CIS... Maybe their Jedi joined and they followed. I guess in a universe where the CIS is fighting for what the Republic used to stand for, anything is possible.

Quoting Arawos The Mighty This was absolutly AMAZING! Why did they blast Padme, who did that? ....and Grevious was a little bit mad before he crashed with his ship, so he could not be so kind as you want him to be, BUT this is incredible so keep it up!!!
They killed Padme because the Republic has transitioned into a WWII Naziesque dictatorship. I'm going to adress more of that eventually in a MOC.

Quoting Ianflow Forever I, in real life, obsess over General Grievous, and every time I see him die, I cry for hours. I am like someone who routes for both jedi and sith, and I like it better when sith end up like Asajj Ventress. I love your alternate universe. A good hearted grievous who even is all ruling all. I can't really take sides but I LOVE this idea!
It's all really thanks to Palpatine of all people. This history is a bit outdated, in my newest version, which can't be found here, Palpatine force pushes Grievous head first into a wall, before getting shot down by a battle droid. Grievous's emotion blocked thing has to be removed, making him the way he was before the shuttle crash. Thus, heroic Grievous.

I'm amazed he killed Palpatine. Palpy could have just pulled out that force lighting and BOOM! Greivous gets smoked. And as much as i'd like to join, the Black Scarabs are loyal to the Republic. The Republic that is, not the Empire. But seeing as this is set in another universe, what the heck! Count us in on this wacked up confederacy of yours! It's a shame Greivous got so little time in the movies, he's such an interesting character. A cyborg who became the droid general. This is a great idea, and it expands on him a lot. And he said a speech without saying 'Die, Jeid dogs!' Simply astounding - Callum

What was just as the alternate timeline and Ruler Grievous was the speech. He sounded like he actually wanted peace, in a sick and twisted way. What's better is that the speech, the MOC, and the storyline were all believable. For that, you get a 5/5.
