White Hot. White for the color, hot for the hot rod. Simple enough? Well, let me start off by saying that this Hot Rod breaks a ton of my personal records. There's a lot broken such as: My first large scale car that isn't red, my first large car with steering(sorta), my first large scale hot rod, and my biggest, baddest looking car EVER! But thats just a handful of those records! I was inspired to build this rod thanks to Apple Pie, Firas-Abu-Jaber, and Ape Fight. They suggested I make another large car. I decided I wanted to make a hot rod for Ape fights "~The Rod Club~". I posted a link down below. At first the car was going to be red, and only 12 studs wide, but I recentley purchased the 4993 Cool Convertible set for parts. This gave me a whole new arsenal of white bricks, and some super special awesome new wheels. I actually wish they were black though. So without further adu...I present to you "White Hot". And one last thing. R.I.P. - Mazda RX-7 FC3S (2008-2008) I hardly knew ye!
About this creation
This is the front of my...okay, this white photbooth isn't gonna work! Let's take this beast outside!
That's much better! So this is the front. I love the grill, it's my favorite section! By the way, did you notice this rod was built using SNOT? It's a SNOT rod!
Powerful supercharged V8 engine. (Credit to Apple Pie on the blower design.) I also wanted to be unique with this hot rod, so instead of the usual side exhausts, I piped them to the back of the car. You'll be able to see the exhaust tips in some later pictures.
The low roof-line is definitely my favorite thing on this new car. What a ferocious lookin' car, huh?
The back. I would've made it a little fancier, but by the time I started work on the rear, I was pretty much out of white parts.
You might as well call this the first ever Hot Rod Hatchback! The opening rear hatch reveals plenty of trunkspace! Sorry about the exposed wheel. You'll just have to deal with your luggage getting torn to shreds.
Opening suicide doors just like most real hot rods. Notice the little cubby in the door too! Good for holding pudding! Or maps...whatever.
Inside the cabin is a very subtle, yet stylish red bench seat. The design is much inspired vintage interiors.
The red continues through the classical red dashboard. Notice the speedometer mounted on the center console.
And so the sun sets on this beautiful, and HOT, day. By the way, my house is basically on the highest point of all Lincoln!!! Go me!

Updated (September, 2008)
Three new pictures! I love this one!
New back including tailights. No longer has an opening hatch.
I can't believe that I haven't commented on this before :@ Your model inspired me to make my own rod, which I posted a few days ago, if you wanted to have a squizz. The shape and proportions of your MOC are crazy, but you made them work so extremely well! Its refreshing to see a white Rod as well, instead of the usual red or black. Keep up the awesome work, and I'll include a link to this in my Rod as soon as I work out how ;) 5/5 - Rhys
I love Hot Rods, My Dad takes me to shows all the time. I had him look at this, and he likes it. If you've ever heard of 'The California Kid' I thought I might add that the guy who built it let me sit in it, since he's my dad's friend. If not, it's a very famous Hot Rod. 5/5

wow, i wonder how i never got around to reviewing this baby. jaw-dropping to say the least. the bodywork is top-notch, and all the details look really nice. all in all, certainly one of the better cars here on MOCpages.
??? I was oh so sure I once commented on this one?! Dylan, this is the best Hot Rod I've seen around. Beautiful colorchoice, sleek design...the rounded grille, the superbe engine, suicide doors and a nice bu...rear end! Best ever! Cheers, Jens

This is to sweet. definitivly the best hot rod here on Mocpages. check mine out, Truck Rod.
This is so good that I think I build this one also, if it is alright(because I also have the new 4993 cool convertible, but I doesn;t like him at some angles. This is the best looking hot-rod I have seen on this whole site.
Hey, took your advice and found some smoother tires for the front, tho i had to sacrifice them off my Tumbler and took a LITTLE stretching to get them over the rims, but theyre just a wee bit bigger. :( my Outlook Express still isnt letting me email you... but yeah, im working on making a better Design on the sides of my rod, and thinking about trying a Drive Shaft from the rear wheels to spin the belts as you roll it along the floor =D Ill keep you updated :)
UPDATE: Have a look at the MOCpages 2009 preview! It looks fantastic! However, I think it could spell the end of the Rod Club as we know it... but it opens the door for many many more clubs to start up : )
oh, i didnt realize you changed the Rear. i like it alot better as it is now, but i think you should see if you can find some way to make it open still. the other one was just WAY too flat. btw, how did you make the Display Pic? did you just take it to PhotoShop and outline it, then remove the picture?
for some reason, outlook express isnt letting me email you... but about your comment on my HotRod!, i dont have any other tires that would look good on it that are smooth. otherwise i would have. theyre all too fat. and i like the front end "agressivness" it adds to the car. so i think i kinda like them :) and i like the smooth lines of this Rod, ive seen it on the Rod Club, but never really checked it out.
first of all, this is your best creation so far! 2nd thing, holly FLAMES!!! you ROCK my friend... no really, this one from the best top 5 rods on the site, and finally you posted a large scale one!! :) any way the choose of the color is just fantastic, the details also are nice... i like the interior even its not studless... but it's ok... the blower rocks too... and i LOVE how you built around the rear wheels.. very unique... really the words can't describe this great creation!!! i just want to say that you always have to build large cars... because you're good at it... enough talkin man ;p keep it FLAMY (even you didn't add any flamies for me :( GREAT WORK >>> peace.. fofo
DYLAN!! I'm truly drowning in my own drool! And Jeeeeeesus that grille rox! And those rims!? And you have got to show me how to make that photoshop thing. I only have macpaint, but photoshop 0.5 might work. And the engine! Listen, genius, I don't exactly like the back, and the sunset is awesome too! Man, my drool is up to me neck ;) And an interior! Mine doesn't have that! One, becuase there ain't room, and Two, coz I'm really bad at making interiors. But Dylan! Three pounds of pure sweetness! AACK! The drool's up to my ears, I have to stand on tiptoe to be in the air! Last words, I have to say that thish rogd if wun uf da bst... *Gurgle* HEEELP! I'm drowning! :)
