Side view. Took out all of the tan parts, replaced with brown parts. Looks much better, I think. Please don't say this isn't movie accurate, I only have so many brown pieces.
About this creation
Back. I detailed the back "hatch" more than the original.
Top view. I made the top of the MTT studless, my own personal touch.
View of the front. Now the real fun begins
Back with "hatch" down, revealing 9 droids. The back was really the only part of the interior that i didn't remodel. It can hold at least 9 folded battle droids, with more space to hold 28 guns total.
If you zoom in closer, you can see just a few of the Blasters held on the weapons racks. ( Sorry picture is a bit dark)
The droids contained in the back. Weapons too.
Top level, inside view. I didn't really do to much with this either, but I did make the controls bigger, and put 4 more droids up there.
The main housing of the droids, top flipped up.
The troops are deployed!
Full view of my new and improved droid rack.
Ahhh, the middle of the MTT. This is without a doubt, the most heavily modified area. I took out the old wall between the middle sections and the droids racks. I then added two pieces that enable the sliding motion. With the edition of this area, the rack went from holding six to eighteen!
Birds' eye view of the new middle section. There are six extra droids in the hold, plus emergency credits.
You may notice the two vulture droid heads. Well, befre my modifications to this baby, I had used it as a cargo MTT. I liked that idea, so I kept part of it. Plus, who has room for two extra vulture droid heads?
Vulture droid heads. Nothing interesting here.
Diorama of my MTT on Naboo
The MTT quickly deploys the troops to capture the Gungan, there may be gungan reinforcements near.
Family photo!! The MTT and all of it's troops. 36 in all, to be exact.
I have both MTT's, new and old. This one required a few pieces from the new one, but I think it was worth it.
Thanks Stephen! There aren't very many old MTTs on Mocpages, so it's kinda hard to compare. But, thanks! Until someone does a better one, I think I'll go with that.
P.S your english has gotten so much better!
this is the best modification of the old MTT iv'e seen, and to answer your question about which version I prefer. I have to say I like the new one better since they were both reletivally in the same price range and the new one came with more uncommon pieces and a lot more droids. If lego had produced yours I would have deffinately bought it.
It looks excellent. I love the main shape of it and the hatch in the back. Even though this is good, the new MTT is a lot better. Try to get it. Thanks for the comment. I will probably post part 3 this weekend.
