Clone Wars battle of Yavin
This is a non-cannon clone wars era battle of Yavin. This took me about a month to make mainly due to the time it took to ship out the republic TX-30 tank. All in all I like how the scene came out, I was able to stick a lot of things in the air and have some pretty nice hand-to-hand combat scenes.
About this creation

Hey everyone, here is my latest Lego creation. Sorry I haven't been posting in awhile, I just moved from southern california to Berkeley for college, and thats been a big pain in the butt. Back to the MOC, this is a non-cannon clone wars era battle of Yavin. I didn't just take a bunch of troopers and stand them up, they are actualy doing stuff, be it dying, shooting, or some intense hand to hand combat, so look at all the pics, you never know when you will find some hidden fight scene.

Here is the Republic's main vehicles. I would put more in, except they are all in boxes :(. Anyway, this is the original Republic Gunship from like 2000 or something. If your wondering if I live in the US or not because of the TX-30 tank, I do live in the US. Just because Lego hasn't released it yet doesn't mean you can't get it from Target online!!!

Aerial view.

I think this turned out OK. In case the picture does'nt show it that well, this is a jedi parrying a sith war droid in mid-air.

Ok, I think this is really cool. I wanted to have some sith lighting in the scene, but having just moved I haven't unpacked all my City Legos and therefore don't have the water pieces needed for sith lighting. So I made something better. I took a Lego pole and dipped in some syrup and then rolled it in some of those little blue things you find on the top of toothpicks, and stuck the pole in the sith's hand. I think it turned out quite well.

More of my custom sith lighting.

We all remember that awesome scene in the begining of episode IV when Darth Vader strangles a rebel commander while holding him in the air. I think I've done a fairly good job recreating the scene with a different sith and a clone trooper.

I think this is a great scene. If you can't tell this is Anakin Skywalker jumping on a droideka preparing to slice off its head.

Aerial trooper from the Lego Turbo Tank set. He is attached to the left wing of the republic gunship via some see through pieces.

Just a random sith assassin riding a dewback while standing. Someone should tell him thats dangerous...

I tried to replicate the scene outside the cantina in episode IV where the speeder bike flies under the Ronto which then rears up on its hind legs. I have recreated the scene with a dewback.

This is just a custom open cockpit hover craft I created. Pretty basic, It's made for flying over battles and firing down upon its helpless victims. It has one air to air rocket. I'll get around to adding a page just for this creation sometime...

Hey, Fred, I realize that there are a bunch of sets, but the center is all custom and most of the figs are custom. I plan on building larger platforms but that was all I could muster up at the moment.

So were the droids able to successfully defend the table lamp? Or did it fall under Republic control?

It's really good! I love the scenery and all the minifigs and ships flying around. Also love the TX-something tank. Can you post a page of the republic gunship??? I wanna see how it follows my design.
