There ya go everyone! Round 2 is officially underway! You have 14 days to get it posted. As you saw with round one, NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED! (But I don’t think I need to worry about that anymore)
I do need to clear up a few things that people were wondering about.
1: The deadline is midnight, eastern standard time (New York time) on October 11th for all round 2 entries (As you can tell by looking at a calendar, I’ve actually given you all an extra day. Why you ask? Basically because posting during the week is very difficult for some people. It’s much easier to post on Saturday (or Sunday for overseas players).
2: Although I did say specifically “No Bricklink” in my original rules, it was more the spirit of the thing I was looking for so basically, no new parts. Play with what you have.
Also, and I know I haven’t had any issues with this yet but, the judges word is law. If they decide to interpret my rules in a different way than I originally intended, then so be it. If they decide that my rules need to be bent because of whatever reason, as long as they can give a reason for it, then so be it! THEIR WORD IS LAW! I only say this because we’re getting into more serious competition here and there may be some people who don’t agree with the judge’s decisions.
I think that clears just about everything up. Let round two (and the smack talk… round 1 was way too polite. If it’s done in fun, let it fly!) begin!
Good Luck Everyone! Except Ian of course. (See… done in fun.) ~ Chris.
Hey, people, am I the ONLY one who has actually finished his or her entry? Hooray! I can't wait to violently rip it apart (after I photograph it) and cackle as I smash it to bits! The pain this hobby can bring me. . .
Nice 2. It reminds me of a sea serpent. Anyway, I'm not sure whether you were giving me permission for Mi Awsum Clon Warz Page, or just saying you liked the idea of Romancing the Stone MOCs, but Mi Awsum Clon Warz Page is posted. I'd appreciate it if you'd check it out.
Well, here we are a week into round 2 and no one has posted yet... I guess everyone is really putting everything they've got into it! Or, like me, had NO idea what to build and just started yesterday... Remember, if you can coordinate with your opponent, you CAN post early. Let's not make the judges do all this work in two days if we can help it. And since I forgot to mention it (but I'm sure you guys could figure it out), Be sure to title your post the same as round 1 (but for round 2... obviously). It makes it easier for the judges to find them. Thanks, and let's get bricking! ~ Chris.
Hey guys, sorry I've been off the net for a few days. It's really fun seeing all you guys "complain" (and I know you're not really complaining) about the categories. The categories for EVERY round, all the way through the finals has already been assigned. The judges already have a list of what each category for each round is. Why is there no "classic space?" Because, the categories were laid out so that each player would not have to compete in the same category twice no matter who won each round. There will be another classic space showdown in the near future so don't worry.
I'm likin' your story there, Shannon. Ya may have to post that MOC on Flickr, though (due to it's graphic nature)...and I'll be interested to see what pieces you use for Chrispy's $%(*!. In the mean time, be looking forward to some more killer MOC's from our remaining gladiators...let's see some blood people!
You shouldn't get mad at your category. Get even. Kick it's scrawny little backside. Mind you castle is a nice category. I'd not do so well in some of them. Now I got to go figure out what to do. see ya. garth
That sounds like fun actually Shannon... oh wait, I just checked my ^%#& to English dictionary. That wasn't very nice. Just for that, you're getting HALO next round. Mess with the MocOlympics bull, ya get the horns. Oh, and for the judges: Brian, "Candi" is coming by you for this round. Your Highness, The credit line on Cracklink was set up. Mark, I destroyed those pictures like you wanted... Um, I mean... er, I know you will continue to judge with honesty, fairness and integrity.
