A Dieselpunk mech/walker
About this creation

A Dieselpunk walker. When the "roughians" were exiled from Albion, the grand high city of the centralised steam empire, they were cross. Not wanting to die out in the unforgiving desert they began searching for ways of using the plentiful crude oil and scrap technology that the sands were full of. They created the internal combustion engine and started to create their own powerful machiens. The Merry Missile was created from a reconditioned plane and a large pair of legs. With two huge launchers and a pair of guns this mech packs a powerful punch.

I made this mech quite by accident. I began trying to make one of those racing mechs that are turning up all over the Lego MOC websites, however, I wasn't getting very far and got fed up. I left my building space and sat down to watch a film, The Phantom. Afterwards I decided to try again with the racing mech... When I was finished I hadn't ended up with quite what I was aiming for but I like it better than any of those racing mechs I see =D I think all the bi-planes and 30s cars seeped into my head and flicked the large switch marked "Dieselpunk".
