About this creation
This was the first car I built for the project after I had a truck design I liked. It was in some ways a warmup. I chose not to do an interior so the roof does not come off...

The use of double train doors to simulate sliders doesn't sit well with me. in my view, this is the worst car of all those that Kleinesteine rendered. Legocastle gallery

So I didn't do that.

This is the builder's shot. Marker lights on the collision posts, belly tank, "standard" truck design, some ventwork on the roof. All these features are standard across all the other cars as well, this was the car where I "got them right"

Side view, this one highlights the recessed doors. Although they don't open they look much more prototypical. See for example this page: href=

which was a reference to me throughout the entire build process. I wish my doors were as far apart as those but I can't be 90 studs long and still get around curves

End detail. You can see the cut line where I doctored the number. All the cars have different numbers and none of them are the same as the stock cars (when I built my stock set, I used the numbers as is)

another shot showing the collision post markers and also the slight curving of the truck as it turns, as long as you don't turn too far it still looks fine.

Overhead shot. I like roof detail, a few vents and things make the car.

Coupled with another car. 1 stud or so of gap is the best you can do and still not interfere when going through trackwork unless you use spring loading.

End view. I just LOVE that flush coupler bufferless look. All the time fiddling was worth it.

Just reviewed all of your trains again, and man you are a maniac! All your stuff is very nicely detailed. Cheers! ~ Paul.

Excellent work. Lots of detail into that 6 wide body. Can't wait to see it run.
