We come to the end of the consist at last. the tail of the train. And let's face it, it's what you've been waiting for, because everyone is willing to wait for tail.
This observation was one of the harder cars to do, because I wanted the bobtail look as in this
pic The design James did wasn't quite rounded enough for me although it's also prototypical. As with the FA engine and the hood piece, the whole car's build hinges on one piece. In this case it's the 3x3 facet brick as two of these make the perfect curved roof back. That, and the special truck, were the complications I had to solve before I could do the gruntwork.
If the diner was the place to be seen, and the dome was the place to send your kids, the observation was the place to PARTY. I chose to put a band in mine, although it was a bit of a squeeze. Some real observations or lounges had pianos! That would be a bit much in a 6 wide.

I could be in pictures but instead, here I am, pouring. Everyone wants to tell me their troubles. They watch too many movies. Bartenders aren't really sympathetic you know. I think I am going to cap the next producer who complains about some disease he caught... wait, can I say cap?

pulling back a little bit this is the whole roof. As to why I used black facets instead of gray, I can't bear to open my MISB builder cliff canyon, you know I'm a speculator and that's going to be worth a fortune someday!

I need some help. Im going to buy a lego train set but i dont wantthe green monorail thing! What do you think i should go with? I do like the Santa Fe trains and i love lego trains! I think you should submitt these designs to www.lego.com and see what they have to say because i would buy this if i saw it :). |

K, this is by far the funniest train moc I have seen... your comments are truely smacktastic. The model is wicked, but then again you probably already know that... nothing like a train full of drunk, horny, lolly-pop licking, air-guitar playing, abusive and loud minifigs. So you finally admitted it- 6 wide HAS its limitations. You couldn't put a piano in there could ya? nyah nya na nyah nyah! :-P Well, all kidding aside, it's been a good evening (or should I say morning- it's 2 am here!) checking out your MOCs. I liked the detailing and interiors especially, such few people bother to do them at all, and more importantly you did them well! The black piece just kills it for me, so I had to dock 1 smile. But I think you should do some shots with the whole rake, unless youre doing them right now as I'm writing. It'd really be cool. Thanks for sharing. |
