About this creation
Sorry, just a teaser... like a movie trailer that shows all the best scenes in the film. This latest incarnation of Shannonia will be exhibited to the public at BrickCon '08, Saturday and Sunday, October 4-5 in newly NBA-less Seattle, Washington. (Kids, if you're in the area and you haven't already, start begging your parents to take you now!) Fear not, all the new stuff will be highlighted in agonizing detail at some point after the Con (don't hold your breath -- there are approximately nine thousand three hundred new landmarks for me to invent witty captions for). This is just to let all the poor schlubs who can't make it know what they're missing, and to give the lucky few who will be there something to look forward to.

It's all here:

The spectacular waterfall...

The scenic river...

The lovely lakes district...

The not so lovely housing tract...

The maybe even less lovely mall and big box stores...

The repetitive skyscrapers and city buildings...

Ad infinitum...

Ad nauseum...

And this stuff over here!

Bugsy says: "I'm only four and a half months old, but even I know that Shannonia is the greatest thing since chasing a string!"
If you only go to one Lego fest in America this year, make it BrickCon '08! If you've already done Brickworld or Brickfair instead... well, I hope you can live with your choice. Don't wait up, I'm off to BrickCon!

I L-O-V-E it, it is so original and awesome. The cool thing about it is that it the design is so small and it can not be that easily smashed compared to other big sets. My question is were do get all your lego pieces? |

It's insane how simple some things are and still look so good! Like the trees (1 cone-brick!) and the mountains. Don't know if the expo also is a contest but you make a very good change. I've never seen anything like it. But there's somthing i've found out, it is more difficult to make existing buildings then fantasy ones! Keep using your bricks like that, and good luck at the expo. |

AHH!! CATZILLA STRIKES AGAIN!! Not even the proud Shannie can save the depressing civilians of Shannonia! It's like the episode of Invader Zim, "Hamstergeddon," where a genetically alerted (and thus huge) hamster rampages the city, and all the citizens are too stupefied by its cuteness to even think of hurting it. I speculate THIS will happen to Shannonia and its awesomely made mountains and tract house addition and all the rest of the new buildings. Yep :) |
