I will agree with "Omega" that there is no such thing as a usless Minifig; this one CLEARLY had a use. But I do believe that there are useless PEOPLE. And "Omega" is one of them. I think this belongs here. Does MOCpages say anywhere that everything has to be pure LEGO? I haven't seen anything. All I've seen is that it says "for Everything LEGO" and this is LEGO, even if it's just a Tribute to it. I love this. I want one. =D |

Nice work. An excellent tribute to 30 years of the Minifig. |

It's beautiful. It deserves to be here and anywhere else - anything to make it seen by more people. |

I appreciate all the comments and I have to say I am sorry if this dont go under the category LEGO. I thought it did.
I put it here partly because I think it is amazing, but also because it is the minfigs 30Y birthday and I think (besides the killing) this is a fine tribute to Him.
My brother doesnt have the same feelings about Lego as I and many others in here does - but I can assure you that he does love Lego. I think He thought of this as a small sacrifice for a greater purpose. I agree.
I have during my 35 years seen far worse use of minifigs and bricks - even on these pages.
I will point you attention to my blog instead and from now I will respect the notion that things not made of LEGO have no place in here.
Reason ? - I agree !
But thank you all anyway... |

Omega, his brother probably made a mold or used a "useless minifig". So don't say something with a negative connotation but maybe suggest how it could be better. Example: "It's really great, but in my honest opinion I don't like that you used a minifig, I think it's a waste. But still 4/5!" |

Awesome! Wait—is the lego dude a mold or actually made of lego? Either way, this is cool! :) |

well - yes and no.
The technique is that you start out with styrofoam and dig a hole with a very hot thingy.
Then you place a Minifig in the midle and place the whole thing in castig and make a molding form(?). Then you burn this in a very hot oven as to make everything plastic and organic to burn away. Then you pour bronze into the mold and wupti - this is what you get. |
