I made the Comet Fighter as a possible new ship for when Captain Ahnee needed to go solo. The craft was somewhat inspired by the Cosmo Tiger II from the Star Blazers anime series. Although the Comet is primarily a starfighter, it is also a formidable atmospheric fighter. The Comet is armed with 2 small laser cannons on the forward canards and array of missiles on wing and fuselage-mounted pylons. I made the Comet in the summer of 2002 and it is one of my better creations as far as SNOT building goes.
This head-on view shows the Comet's narrow front profile and the great up and down view the pilot enjoys. Note that the Comet sits on 2 landing skids only, no nose skid.
