I decided that I have looked at mechs long enough, it's about time for me to make a decent one.
So this is RAPTOR, I don't have the pieces to make REX, so it is kind of a miniature.
I am still glad with the final product. I think it worked out rather well.
This mech has two vulcan (Not from Star Trek) cannons, a laser beam projector and a Railgun.
The Railgun is not as big as the one on REX, and it can't fire a nuke; but it is still quite effective. (Can anyone guess what the piece for the railgun is?)
The legs were the hardest part. I don't have any AT-AT click joints that I've heard about, so I used the exo-force joints instead. Those... heels? Is that the word? Those heels can fold up into the legs, but (Unfortunately) RAPTOR won't stand up without them. The balance is perfect, but the exo-force joints won't support the weight.
Hey, there I am in the cockpit! Wouldn't it be fun to walk down the road in this monster?
It even has a place for drinks. I am very happy with how the cockpit turned out as well.
I hope you have enjoyed my humble step into the world of mecha.
My advice- take off the railgun and radome and create whole new weapons for it! This is, without doubt, one of the best mechs I've ever seen, because of the obvious effort you've put into it (shown by the cockpit). Please, please give yourself as much credit as you can! 5,000/5!
I like it. I'd just add some more greebles. Actually it looks a lot like my mech (I only have one pic now but I can email an updated pic). I suggest looking at B Gillmet's stuff. Although technically they aren't 'mechs', they are still great. Nice work! Peace - Patrick
