Large-scale spaceship combat within the brikwars system.
About this creation
I have wanted for a while now to engage in large-scale spaceship combat within the Brikwars system. So, using my instructions and those I found on brickshelf, I created 3 fleets of lego sets recolored to match each other. Then I gathered 2 friends, and cleared the living room.
The brikwar began.

The white fleet, captianed by Nathan. It had the most large ships, so he got the worst starting position.

The grey fleet, captianed by Aaron. The scrappy rebel fleet. Lots of medium-sized ships.

The red army was about half ground vehicles. Sending them the long way around just kept them out of the battle for too long because they're slow as molasses.

Downing the first capital ship did not slow the onslaught.

I knew I should have taken more ground level money-shots.

The missle didn't even hit there. It didn't even hit the ship, it just caught it in the blast radius.

Sending my ships through this narrow corridor was a tactical error. The first of many.

Nathan stacked the SPII ship on top of the broken hull of the SPI ship. It met the same fate at the same spot.

|
The Republic Gunship (Republican Ship) had a bunch of weapons, but it broke down pretty easily.

These guys just wandered around for quite some time before Aaron took them out of their misery.

Nathan very carefully split up his ground forces, for no good reason.

The MF goes down, but not because of the Mk V Mortar on the Mega Core Magnetizer. No, it was because of two troopers with seige rifles.
|

And there he is. You know how in risk, when you defend your territory with one guy who keeps rolling 6s against a giant horde? Yeah, that's this guy.
|

|
|
This guy looked cool, but did nothing, and was a coward. Sucks.
|

|
|
The fallen down troops didn't die. No, they just gave up, because the battle was long-over before they reached the front line.

|
Who won? If you go by the brikwars rules, it's every trooper who lost his life and ended up in this bucket. in the end there were only 4 ships standing, and we called it a night.

The recoloring of sets is an interesting idea, though in some cases the results are vomit-inducing. Though I've never seen a Brikwars fleet battle run so successfully. |

Cool idea for a setup. When I finish learning the game, I might just have to try this out. |
