Our tribute to the Great Keith Goldman...and company
About this creation
I had no idea that when I started this humble project it would grow, so fast and so furiously! After looking at Keith Goldman’s Omicron Weekend I wanted to build something much like it, and then it dawned, I would build a Moc-Spoof based on the ‘Weekend’. I built the first section, and added onto that, but after I noticed how much more I wanted to add to this creation I knew I would need some help. My brother had wanted to build a Spoof-Moc of the ‘Weekend’ for quite a while, so for him, it was easy to help. JD Luse , had talked me into entering something into the Washington state fair, and I thought our ‘Freakend’ would be just the ticket. It did win first place there.
JD also helped, if not so much snapping bricks together as giving us advise, Thanks man! You’re great!
This was the Original version.
...It then grew to this size, notice my Falcon's wing there on the landing pad, I soon changed that.
This is the finished version, notice the new SNOT ship on the landing pad.
Here it is on display at the 'Evergreen State Fair'.
So that nobody calls the 'Bluff' on me, YES, I did rip this ship off Keith, Mine is a Puffer fish, that has been outfitted with two Gatling guns and two missile packs(That can be released and dropped like bombs) I nicknamed this ship 'The Bruise(My brother's idea) because it is 'Black and Blue all over'.
This light grey tower(Far left) was not only a last minute addition, but it was partly built by JD Luse .
That tower has three levels and this is the top one.
The next building to the right is the research and command facility, this building is chock-full of instruments for research and command.
On the roof of the research building, is a large radar.
The next building over to the right is the medical chamber, here patients from polo to the common cold get treated, an outbreak of peach skin seams to have it's toll on three minifigs, one lies here, wondering if he will ever walk again...
On the roof of this building is a large red cross, how appropriate...
the next building over is a 'porta potty'.
This research facility is high on the trade ideals, it has a small port, and uses it for collecting supplies and sending items back to the 'Known World' Here a small bunch of workers try to quell a squid like beast and a ship unloads it's cargo...
When I thought up the idea of making this creation I knew squid tentacles would be in it somewhere and that is how I came up with the name (Freakend)...
Another picture of 'The Bruise'
The crew of the small boat unload its cargo.
The pilots of 'The Bruise' walk along the landing pad headed for the elevator.
An overall of the ice area...
This thing took up four boxes...Not as impressive as Keith’s, but still big.
Here is a front shot of the grey tower.
Please try to appreciate all these pictures, I live way out in the boonies, because of that I have to use satellite internet, my internet is provided by this company called 'Hughsnet', and they have this retarded fair access policy which brings me to my knees...anyway, this retarded fair access policy only allows me to upload one picture at a time, and before that I have to resize them so they can be uploaded...BAH, back to uploading!
This is probably the largest creation Matt and I have ever built.
This is the mobile research center, her Dr. Specs monitors most of...the stuff that goes on, I guess...I don't know, he just stares at his monitors and mutters to himself...
The next building over to the right is the store building, it contains all the needed supplies for living in the arctic...or wherever this station is.
Quoting mcwendys cardenal
love the elevater even though you didnt build it
Actually I DID physically build it, I just got inspiration from another person's creation, as stated. If you are a fan of Kieth Goldman's creations you would know that he also states his shamefully "design" thieving, and I just wanted this spoof-MOC to show a bit of that too.
