About this creation
Itís been a long time since Iíve posted anything, so I decided it was high time for a new Halo weapon. After spending about 15 minutes surfing the multiple Lego community sites, (Flikr, Brickshelf, and Mocpages) I discovered an incredible lack of Halo carbines. It was then that I vowed to construct (or at least attempt to construct) one of the first non-minifig size carbine.
Instead of doing the sensible thing and searching the web for reference pictures and information on the carbine, I rushed straight to my workshop in the basement, stopping only to grab the Halo 3 game booklet, which includes one side image of the carbine, and a very large cup of coffee, it was gonna be a long night.
Because I own only one pink Lego brick, I had to replace all the pink elements of the real carbine with my most favoritest color, black! The entire build took around four hours, plus a few minutes spent the next day adding details and whatnot.
The bulk of the build was spent getting the size and shape right, particularly in the area of the handle. I have no idea how anyone, even an elite could hold this gun comfortably.
This section was also quite challenging to construct, what you see here is the result of 1 Ĺ hour of staring at a box of black bricks and another large cup of coffee.
The barrel was without a doubt the easiest part of the build, I used Technic pieces because the real carbineís barrel has holes running all down the side.
Funky shot looking down the barrel, the entire gun is stud less, give or take a few 1x1 that were impossible to cover.
The clip holder/sight thing was also a real pain to shape .
The clip/sight fits nicely inside the holder.
Although not automatic like the real gun, the holder on my carbine flips up and allows you to remove the clip/sight.
Unfortunately, the clip/sight looks nothing like the one in the game.
Not exactly sure how to hold the thing, but Iím pretty sure one hand goes hereÖ
Öand the other here.
A final shot looking at the top of the gun, not nearly as good as I hoped, but twice as good as I expected, Iím proud of the end result.
Donít forget to leave a review, constructive criticism is always appreciated. Depending on the ammount of new ideas I get, a Version 2 is quite possible, so LEAVE REVIEWS!

Hi, I Replicate Peoples Lego Guns And Was Wondering If I Could Post My Version Of This Amazing Weapon On My Account? Also If Anyone Wants Instructions I Might Be Able To Create Some. All Up To You, Wont Post Anything Until Confirmed. By The Way, This Is The Most Amazing Carbine Ever. 10/5
OOOH MY GOD@@@@@@ THIS IS THE BEST LEGO LIFESIZE WEAPON IVE EVER SEEN ON THE NET (sorry artyr, your weapons just didnt stand a chance against a life size black carbine, even with all your weapons combined) AMAZING ill give it 10000000000000 gold-platinum shining stars out of 5!!!!
Amazing! I like the black color more than the original pink. I made a life size lego gun of my own design once. It actually fired bricks. Sadly, I took it apart before taking pictures of it. I would have taken pictures if I knew about this website, but alas I diidn't. Have you ever heard of Kingdom Hearts? If so, You should try to build a life-size keyblade. I'm sure that would pose a challenge. I would try it myself but I don't have nearly enough bricks. :(
