New and Improved!
I've improved upon my initial model to make it more accurate. Changes have been made to the warp nacelles, deflector section, main body, underbelly, and aft section.
U.S.S. Defiant from Star Trek Deep Space Nine!
Here is the Defiant, registry NX-74205, in all her glory. This class ship is the only one produced as a compact yet heavily armed escort ship to meet the Borg threat, with no scientific or other extras save what is needed for combat.
Designed partly by Commander Sisko from Utopia Planetia and then mothballed in the Sol system, Sisko returned to Deep Space Nine with it in 2371 to help meet the new Dominion threat.
This has been a project of mine since I went back and rediscovered the DS9 series. I have tried to reproduce as many details from DS9 as possible.

Absoltely love the design, you've captured the shape better than i could've done. The only thing stopping it form 5 smiles - and its very minor, i'm just pedantic - is that the 'nose' of the ship should be angled down slightly. |

That is the best model of a defiant class ship i have ever seen. Also that DS9 moddel is pretty good. You should really make a page just about that. |

Beautiful. You nailed the shape completely. I think the color scheme could be improved a little; because of the relative size of the pieces the different colors come across less as accents and more as major blasts of color. But besides that its pretty much perfection. |
