About this creation
Well, Mocpages will not allow me uploading my "paint" images of the gun, so i will e-mail it to those that would like to see it.
Anyways.....
I have enough money to purchase the pneumatics system, but im not completely sure using it will push the pneumatic pump fast enough to make the system worth buying, i want the weapon to be able to fire at least 10m
Same thing with the battery box too, not for sure how far the bolt will launch the battery,
I will not use rubberbands however to fire each battery, both because of my determination, and the inability to use them with the tight tolerances of the drum magazine.
The drum magazine holds 12 batteries and is powered my a windup motor
Post your email and suggestion if you would like to receive the image via email.
I already have one outlining the pneumatic design, now i just need to create one using the battery box design
10/20/08 Completed the twelve round drum magazine (AA batteries)
10/20/08 Completed list for materials needed
($51.49) pneumatic bolt,- (air tank, compressor two pumps and tubing, 3x3 liftarms for the magazine, along with control blocks and switch,)
OR
($11.00) motorized bolt, -(battery box and liftarms only) i already have 5 motors)
10/26/08 Decided to use pneumatic approach, except instead of using lego's 20$ 2 oz tank i will be fitting my own custom made 20 oz tank and using an industry grade compressor to fill it :P
Battery operated design is still a possibility but pneumatics sounds more fun, i will likely be forced to strip the air seal of the bolt piston so that it will operate faster versus retaining all of the air, of course I will lose more of the air but the gun will be far more powerful instead.
