Thanks everybody! Unfortunately, the C-3 X, the aircraft that they have been designed for, won´t be continued. For further information on this abandoned, huge project, please check out the following old WIP: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/105012
Thanks, Steffen |

WOW... If that's the size of the engines, then I really can't imagine how big the plane is going to be. And I thought the Lego City planes were big! I look foreward to the result! |

I like the engines...
but I prefer when they're tied up to planes.
;-)
Hey John, thanks! You can see them tied up to the wings already if you check out the WIP! |

Very nice Steffan, I finally found the engine you've been speaking of, That is an excellent piece of engineering, I sure hope that you're working on the part the engine goes to, ( THE AIRPLANE ) just looking at the engine makes me think the wings and fuselage have a lot to live up to! Til' next time, Matt L. |

Hey Jesse, yeah I know I´m slow in creating&posting... It´s mainly due to a huge thesis I have to write ' til June 15th. Afterwards, I'll have more time to build. No mass production of the entire plane, though - I don´t own nearly enough pieces for that. There will be one final product (I only pretend to mass-produce:):):)) Against my comment that I only wanted to post the final thing, I was thinking of posting a WIP here soon - to keep in touch with everybody, show that I´m still there and that I continued building... I love how what I have so far created looks - it´s so massive and beast-like... I´ll post some WIP pics soon I promise. Steffen |

Hello bro. :) you can add a playlist to your page if you add a youtube video with it in the same page... it's that simple... and here's the Msg. that my friend Andrew sent me about music on mocpage: "Hey man!
When you get the embed code from projectplaylist.com, paste it into the add a creation edit box along with the image codes. Then in the same box, drop in any youtube video, and it turns out that if the player is accompanied with a youtube video mocpages will accept it. Then to make the youtube video disapear put:
<!--"the embed code for the youtube video"-->
and the youtube video will disaspear from the page, but the music player will still be there. Let me know if this works for you man! :)
" ... Thanks for your nice comment btw :) >>> peace.. Fofo |

ine design. 6 peg wide engines will certainly look good wherever they will be hanged from. My only suggestion would be to alter the colour of the pylons. I personally find that a grey pylon makes the engine stand out more, if you know what I mean. Still the overall design you have come up is quite interesting, especially the front of each engine. Good use of slopes and curved bricks.
Hey Dave, thanks for the great comment and suggestion! Grey pylons indeed do sound good. I slightly altered them, though, using the rounded pieces (the original Lego jetliner pylons / from the white and blue 4-engines aircraft) instead of slopes cause it creates more of a sleek look... Unfortunately, I don´t own these rounded pieces in grey... To the aircraft in general: Its fuselage currently is ca. 114 studs long and might get prolonged to about 120 studs (because of the tail construction yet to be finally designed and a potential slight lengthening of the cargo hold); the wingspan measures 124 studs... Nose and cockpit (not the interior yet) are designed and ready, too. For the tail section, I´m tending towards a double side rudder similar to the one of an Antonov An-225... The maximum diameter of the fuselage will be 14-16 studs on the level of the primary cargo hold´s floor. Underneath the main cockpit windows(9 to 10 studs wide upper cokpit), the fuselage widens quite a bit, which gives the cockpit a pretty awesome look in my opinion - like the pilots sitting pretty high in a widening fuselage, which I think really fits to a heavy airlifter. I´m really excited right now to continue building... Best regards, Steffen |

Wow, Steffan; you obviously have a big project in mind. Anyway - about me - it's a long story why I'm not doing anything on MOCpages right now. I live in Africa most of the time and that's where my Legos are. Right now, I'm on a furlough here in the USA and didn't bring any Legos with me. Thus, I don't have anything to post. I have a few unposted projects on my computer, and I am just now uploading some home videos from Youtube. Overall, though, I won't get back into full swing until June or July 2009. Happy building! |

Even with that tiny part of what your plane will eventually be, I can see that you're using building techniques which are far more advanced than the ones you used last time. I'm looking forward to the full model! |

From the size of the engines, I suspect this will be somewhere around three feet long when it's done. That would make it a very impressive build. |

Thank you Erkki & Firas! I tried to keep the engines with as few studs as possible by using SNOT, but my choice of parts is a bit limited. Also, the entire aircraft will have more studs this time, cause the size of the upcoming wings obliges me to use plates instead of bricks - so I guess the studs on the engines will correspond to the rest later... I figured it would be better to have tons of studs on the top of the "hard points" where the engines will be connected to the wings, cause they are heavy and need to be fixed well... Steffen |
