This single seater speeder, armed with 4 machine guns, is very quick and agile, and excels at scouting.
About this creation
Here we go, my second 'modern' MOC finished! I actually made this MOC ages ago, although it wasn't that good then. So I decided to have another go at it! I like the way it turned out, especially the cockpit, which was rather difficult to make realistic, and still fit a minifig inside. This is also one of my first attempts at SNOT, so tell me what you think! (True, I have 4 studs showing, but if I covered that up, our minifig dude wouldn't be able to see out the windscreen, and we can't have that, can we?)
I also had some fun designing the base for it, placing random humps of sand, rocks and tufts of grass! Not much to talk about, although I always like it when a MOC is placed 'in context' with some kind of scenery.
Weaponry consists of four .50 Cal machine guns, which are more than capable of dealing with any light opposition encountered. Of course, it is no match for heavier craft, at which point it uses it's speed to great advantage!
Note: At the high speeds this craft is capable of reaching, it is unfortunately all too easy to accidentally fly yourself into some dark cave, hole in the ground, or other dark and gloomy place... which is where the two super high intensity lamps come in handy! Each powered by 2 AA batteries, they represent the ultimate in compact lighting!
This is how the cockpit opens. Cool, huh?
Here's a close up of the cockpit, showing the instruments, knobs, etc. It's quite a snug fit, actually...
Anyway, thanks for looking! I had a great time building this, and it didn't take too long, which is nice for a change. Please take a look at my other MOC's if you have the time.
Nicw work. It reminds me a bit of the jetbike from the Killzone video game. Nifty little design and color scheme and the way you made the cockpit is great. Nice work on the base plate too. Peace - Patrick
