A working semi auto model of the famous Beretta 92 FS
About this creation

This is a Beretta 92 FS rubber band gun. is is a semi-automatic gun that holds about 8-10 rubber bands, depending on how new they are. as the gun is a RBG, it is impossible to give it a working slide, so that is why it doesn't have one.
the beretta 92 FS pistol is one of the most recognisable handguns in the world, due to its barrel not being surrounded by the slide.
the gun was developed for use by police forces, and was a great success. this version of the gun wouldn't be that helpful in a real gunfight, but i like it all the same.
the gun uses the RB spindle method where the RBs are hooked round the end of a technic half-wide liftarm. when the trigger is pulled, the spindle rotates just under a half turn, (firing a band off), and when the trigger is released, it is allowed to complete its half turn, ready for the next pull of the trigger.
Here are the pics:
the back of the gun (you can just about see the RB spindle)

The Mechansim:
Pic of the workings
trigger released, with the spindle as if it had bands on it, and locked in place
trigger pulled, the spindle does its 2/3 of a half turn and releases one band. when the trigger is released it will go back to looking like the other pic

Very good gun.You stated an RBG could not have a working slide.I took the challenge of building a RBG with working slide. In the end,I managed to build a Beretta M9 RBG with a working slide. So it isn't impossible after all.
P.S.
You are a very good builder btw=)
I admire your skills |

The mech is very complex and I can't make it out.
I love your guns and always will.
BTW if you want a slide then combine your desert eagle and beretta. Build the working M9 without the slide and then add the slide and its mechanism. |

good gun, although i am not sure i understand how you got the barrel to stay on in the front. could you please explain? |

How many times did you get a rubberband to the face while making this? Seriously though, great work. I'd love to figure out how you got the blowback to work on your desert eagle, that's just awesome! Nice work. I made a glock 19 but it doesn't do anything. You can pull the slid back and it snaps back but that's it - just basic stuff. Anyway, great work! Peace - Patrick |

ok apple pie, i shall prove you wrong:
take a look at the pics. when the bit under the spindle moves away, a bit is moved in place above it and that gets in the way when its trying to complete its half turn, the trigger has to be released to do that. |

i think that if you keep the trigger pressed for a long time all the RBs are goin to come off at once. prove me wrong. |
