About this creation

This is Version 2 of the best Minifig Scale Truck (so far)

It’s main updates are the rear suspension & trailer

YELLOW COLORED wheels indicate the wheel/s have left contact with the roads surface, so you can see the problem I had with the old design.

When the truck rolls over the pothole in the diagram below, both wheels on that side are lifted since both gearboxes are join in one, But now the gearboxes are separated & only connected by the middle axle which allows both gearboxes to move more freely without effecting the other so much.

The truck’s make is a mixture of various truck designs since I wasn’t sure what I wanted, though in the future I’d like A Volvo vn look to the truck but currently it looks more like VolvoKenlinerbuilt ( Volvo, Kenworth, Freightliner & Peterbuilt).

BTW the suspension has still retained its walking beam function!

The trailer has received an Obvious revamped Design, it has walking beam suspension as well, Can carry at least Ten (including the trucks car carrying attachment) RCX sized cars, could use some Lego hydraulics to raise & lower the second level & A motorized car could manually drive up to the second level!

Note: There WILL be a 3rd Version soon with an updated suspension design (including the front) & more!

We're both going through similar problems here. I'm considering putting a halt on my class 8 truck building for now to update my frame design. I have steering but no suspension and it's a real trade off sometimes between the look of the rear axles and their functionality.

thanks, my 3rd version is the improved design & its a bit smaller than this one I will post how its suspension works soon!!
