Star Wars Contest Entry:Clone Turbo Tank (WIP)
A Turbo Tank that I have remodeled
About this creation

Back view. I added another turret towards the back, see if you can see it.

Front View. I didn't do much with the front exterior.

Front interior. I took out the lifting mechanism and replaced it with a black chair for the pilot to sit on. Then, I added controls to the door, so it wouldn't take up a lot of room. Taking out the lifting mechanism also gave room for a minifigure to fit through to the troop bay.

This is the troop bay. If you look carefully, you can see that I added a ladder under one of the open roof things. Also, there is a ramp that leads to the middle section of the Turbo Tank.

I did nothing with the middle section, except for adding a pump-like thing on the side to make it look more detailed.

This is what used to be the bomb hold. This was the hardest part of remodeling the Turbo Tank, as, I quickly found out that the ceiling wasn't high enough for a minifig to fit. So, I rose the ceiling by 2/3 of a stud (2 thin pieces on top of each other). This, however, required the ceiling of the middle section to be raised as well. When this was done, I ran into another problem. It wasn't wide enough for a minifig to fit through the doorway or section, so, I had to turn the slanted pieces around to make it minifig accessible. I removed the bombs and the orange pieces under them, and replaced the orange pieces with a standard grey block.

Back interior. ou will see that I added controls to the door to make more room for troops. If you look closely, you will see that I also took out the blocks that separated the bomb hold and the back. I then made it wide enough for a minifig to fit through. Taking out the beam, however, made the side panels flimsy. So, to correct this, I added pieces in the wall where the door would hit, making them unable to pass. However, they can still move outwards, making placing troops extremely easy.

Top of what used to be the bomb bay. I added another turret to this area because, I was playing Revenge of the Sith, the Jedi Temple level, where Obi-Wan faces clones on top of a Turbo Tank. I saw tha there was a turret in the general area that, in the lego set, was the roof of the bomb hold. Not only did I add a turret, I added slant pieces and red pieces to make it look more appealing to the eye.

Exterior(Top) of the troop bay. I took out the scout seat, because it was ore trouble then it was worth. I also added detailed slant pieces on the top, so it would have some texture to it.

Three clones standing next to the Turbo Tank. Notice the wheels. I added wheel covers to all ten wheel, although you can only see five.

This Turbo Tank will be featured in my Mega Moc, Kashyyyk. It will also be alongside my AT-AP and AT-RT that I am working on. I'll post them soon as well.

I forgot to mention. This Turbo Tank is still being worked on, so, if you have any suggestions/advise on how to improve it, don't hesitate. Thanks.

This is my entry for
William H's Star wars Contest

A special thanks to everybody who has remodeled their Turbo Tanks for giving me ideas,
and last, but definatly not least, special thanks to Commander Fed, Commander T Fett, and Commander Blane for inspiring me to make something ordinary extraordinary. Thanks guys.
Keep it blocky!!

Quoting Xak Black Awesome! Nice attention to detail and expanding the sections, it's tricky work! Did you do any work to the front and back wheel sections? I found it frustrating when it would ride over a bump and the front wheels would pop out of the socket.
I still have problems with the front wheels. I'm trying to find a better way to do it.

that turbo tank is really cool. You could put a weapon holder in the troop bay and add some rockets or missiles to the top?:)

Nice changes. They add a lot more playability. But I don't think that mid section was for bombs; im pretty sure that was its engine...now its immobile XD

Ok, I think your next one will be much better, one last thing: you should add this rocket launcher on the side (you can see it in ep 3 on Kashyyyk, only to tell you) , that is in my opinion the most important add on to the C. T. tank of LEGO.

It is good as a tank, but not as a Clone Turbo tank, because it looses the things which are characteristic for one (e.g the tower or the linear armor on the top of the main pert). The only reason why Im not raiting 4 of 5 are the front and back weels, becaise theyre Clone Turbo tank accurate. You should look at the one of Sebeus Inwum, his one is very good and still very accurate as a Clone Turbo tank.

Now about the turbo tank. I love the interior it's really awesome. the cover for the wheels looks great and movie-accurate. You know the translucent yellow pieces on the blaster on the front? You should have replaced those with grey cones. I love the way all the rooms connect. A 8/10 for color accuracy, a 8/10 for detail, a 10/10 for creativity and a 8/10 for design. Great job. PS. I really wish that my Turbo Tank is still intact.

this is the answer about the fonts. It's just some XHTML. Type in EXACTLY what is about to be shown. and to make this effect go away for a next section put .
