Hot Rod: "Ol' Scarlet"
This is a sweet little hot rod I made with my spare time. Hooray for Fall Break! Anyways, it's only a 6-wide car, but there's loads of detail! Working steering, doors, and even a rumble seat! Not to sound cocky or anything, but I consider this to be the best small scale hot rod ever made!!! But I'd also like to know what you think! Please comment!
About this creation
Front view. I never used to like hot rods, but I really think they're starting to grow on me. I think it's because of their sheer simplicity.

Side view. Notic how I made the engine and exhaust pipes.

The back. I don't own any red rocker boxes so I had to use black.

The working steering is all thanks to my buddy, Zach C. His design is spectacular! It's truly amazing to have steering in a 6-wide car! Unfortunately, I don't have any rack gears, so it doesn't connect to the steering wheel.

Opening suicide doors. They're kinda hard to open...

The rumble seat flips up out of the back. If you don't know what a rumble seat is, it's simple. It's just an extra flip-up seat you can find on a lot of classic cars, usually 2-door cars.

It's a little too small for mini-figs, but you can still place one in the rumble seat!

Sorry. I just noticed a con - you know, it was mostly sports cars in the 20s-30s that had rumble seats, I think. I'm not sure if low, rat-roddish shiny new rods have rumble seats... But never mind. Nice rod, mate!

I agree, this is the best small Hot Rod I've seen, although check out Jeremy McNutt's for a close second! I wish all small creations were as good as this : )

Dylan! I love it! I love the back. It's so smooth and SNOTty. The whole rod is overall pretty SNOTty! I like how you made the old cliche of the round lights in the back, but all that just fits in. I really, really think I could like 6-wide - I just don't have the proper wheels, or the proper proportions. I can always try, though. Trying is what it takes. "If At First You Don't Succeed, Try Again." That's a sensible quote. I rarely quote stuff, because it's always sayings telling em what to do with my life. I hate that. Oh, this is supposed to be about Ole Scarlet? Sorry. The front is genius, and I saw that steering instruction by (err, Zach C?) and I found it genius. But I wouldn't put steering that connects to the steering wheel, cause that would probably spoil the interior. Yikes! This is getting to be quite a long comment, eh buddy? But just a few last things - the front lights rock, as do the windows (geeeeenius!!) and the whole SNOTtyness of it all is heart-capturing. Congratulations on a super-nice moc, and I hope you make more - Raphy :) Ps. All this is 3 words? I. Adore. It. Once again, keep it up. 5/5.
