Working Lego Traffic Lights
Traffic light combination like those used in the UK
About this creation
Working Lego Traffic lights using the Lifelites system.

Based on traffic lights in the UK there is no red and amber phase sadly (hopefully that can be introduced later) the Lego version copies a design commonly seen on roundabouts (when there are only two directions traffic can move).

UK traffic lights have a white strip around the black edges. But in most cases it is dirtied and grey. I decided to use the grey (as the white looked too clean).

Here is a video of the lights working.

I HAVE TO SAY, once upon a time, during one of the many LEGO Fan Conventions, a nameless Mech Builder got my attention and said, look, that "Train Guy" thinks that brick built stop light was cool. We chuckled, and continued to talk about joint technology and application of TECHNIC etc.. etc.. The irony of that story is, now "I" think "THIS" Stop Light is COOL! And I will have to show him! Awesome! LOL! Well built. Good functionality. Good work!

Yay- the United Kingdom! Well, it would be better if it was made intirely of bricks, but no one should care anyway. Wait a second, it is made completely of bricks. Good job!

Holy traffic jam batman! I thought this was life size then someone said something about the helmet visors and my jaw bounced off the floor. Great work man (and yes, most traffic lights here in the states have a schoolbus yellow housing). Peace - Patrick

Awesome man! I notices you used helmet shields for those protection things above each light (bulp) - thatīs so creative. Very good job! Brilliant! Steffen

brilliant, very nicely done, I can't use it though, it's a bit too big and takes too much lights and such but still it's a great moc
