About this creation
Hey Everyone, as of November 8th at 10.05 Eastern Standard time , I have officially completed my FIRING MECHANISM for the v2 of the Barrett M82A1, I will shortly upload photos of the raw mechanism and the mechanism fitted into a rough mid section of the gun... The mechanism works like a slugger on steroids... The mechanism is bolt action, chambering a new round automatically from a heavy magazine on the bottom. I got the idea for the feed chamber off of several real automatic rifles, and the firing pin and trigger mechanism was copied from Jacob Norad, whom much thanks in the MOC community is due. Expect photos within one week, and fresh photos from the construction on a bi-weekly basis :P

This is the grip, it houses the trigger mechanism, and took me all of five minutes to make.

This is the firing chamber, by pulling it back, you accomplish two things...first, you scrape a fresh round into the chamber with the diagonal piece, and second when you push it far enough it cocks the bolt back and locks it onto the trigger




This is the raw magazine, you can see the rubberbands and the rounds, normally the magazine would be encased in a shell, that both protects it and makes it appear to be larger. you can lock the magazine in several different places to allow for easy loading.

This is the firing pin, the angled piece on the back is what locks onto the trigger, due to the extreme forces exerted on the pin, it often flys out of the barrel with the round, so superglue has been applied






This is where the chamber goes, to allow it to slide in and out, while providing a smooth surface for the round, and minimal disruption to the gun's aesthetics.





This is the bar that is connected to the top of the magazine, notice the angle piece that allows the chamber to scrape a fresh bullet easier.







This is where the smooth bar on the end of the chamber fits into the groove mentioned earlier, this keeps the chamber straight and negates the upwards/sideways forces exerted by the rubberbands.

I probably won't, I am extraordinarily busy with schoolwork and home matters, and probably won't do anything with Barrett until after i finish my automatic shotgun.

looking great i`m not sure how it works but i will figure this out and try to build it because i want to know if this design has the firing power i want in my next design (barrett m107) and only if my own ideas don`t work ( i want the next gun i`m gonna build completely original) thank you for the ideas -creative greetings-
